aiks.. go island holiday better not bring modern gadgets there. hp still ok la.. but sometimes i think its better to go to an island without tv, pc, hp.. which will truely let u forget the world for a few days

juz got back frm Redang last nite...air asia flight.... Damn tiring...
went for 4 days 3 nite.... actually 3 days 2 nites should be enuff dy... but we clever clever go booked 4 days 3 nites....till we get bored dy... btw, we stay at Redang beach resort... staff over there were nice, helpful and can play joke along...

Those goin redang, should went for snorkeling, even u dun know to swim, dun worry, there will be staff guide u to swim or swim along wit u...
Da most boring is at nite, u need to find ur own entertainment, redang dun have any astro/movies to see... they really wanted u to be relax... so at nite, u will be boring a bit or if lucky...tat day might have beach party juz in front of Redang beach resort, which we were staying....
at last day...we try to watch sun set... but unlucky... ##%%^^$& big cloud, so cant see sun set....

Da beer over there expensive than kl around Rm2-3, almost everything are expensive than kl >rm1, coz u know la... pulau ma... need shipping and etc...
overall....ok la...if u go wit ur frens..., if go alone, think u will bored till death....

Just back from Redang last week. These are a brief description of the trip and hopefully it can be useful for those who plan to visit there for the first time. Please correct me if the info i have posted is not accurate.


Kuala Terengganu Bus Station
One can travel either by Bus or Plane (Air Asia) from KL to KT. Plane 2 hrs & Bus 8 hrs trip. I had to catch a bus at Putra Bus Station (near PWTC) at 11pm since most of the coaches travel mostly at night. Ticket is RM 29.00 one way for Transnasional coach. Others may vary. I would recommend Transnasional as they have better driver. My journey back from KT to KL with Sani Ekspress was not a good one. Anyway, 8 hrs of bus ride is torturing and would recommend to travel by plane if you dont mind paying a lil' bit extra.


Merang Jetty
Reached KT at 6:30am and was taken to Merang Jetty by the Resort coach. Journey from KT bus station to the jetty took about 1 hr. The coach will also pick those who travel by plane at the airport to the jetty.

If you intend to buy souvenirs, buy it HERE. Those selling at Redang are expensive.


Laguna Redang Resort
The resort i stayed at. 3D2N standard room is about RM380+ per person incld buffet breakfast+lunch+dinner and 3 snorkeling trip and boat trip from jetty. Very nice resort and probably one of the most popular in Redang. One thing i didn't know is that the block for standard room is about 3 mins walk from the main lobby. The others more expensive rooms are nearer. The room is not too bad. Equipedwith air-cond, ceiling fan, hot water, hair dryer, TV.


Hotel Lobby
As you can see, the place was crowded with guests waiting to check in. We reached the resort at about 10:30am but had to wait until after 12pm to be able to check-in. A bit lousy on the timing there. The lobby was bloody hot and i was tired from the bus ride, hungry and uncomfortable with the moist and sticky body. Buffet lunch was served at 12pm. Managed to check-in immediately after lunch.


Standard Room Block
Not as fancy as the more expensive room but still acceptable.


The Garden
The lil' garden in the resort. Nothing fancy.


More More Tea Inn
The famous More More Tea Inn now a convenient cum souvenir store. Located right next to the resort. It was relocated from its original spot to make way for the resort.


The Swimming Pool
It has a big pool, children's pool and a jacuzzi.

i live juz beside laguna resort....Redang beach resort... i would say its awesome when i walk around laguna resort... its big...i try to post da map which i capture by cam. laguna got tv ar..? can watch astro??

Laguna got TV but no ASTRO. Only NTV7, 8Channel and Channel 4.

dat means we can bring alcohol over to redang lah..
i'm going to redang on de 1st of may..
trying to gather some info now..
i've been there b4,but its almost 6 years ago ledi..actually dunno its 6 years anot..
i know i went after the movie Summer Holiday came out..
i stayed in the same suite as Sammi Cheng stayed..
got her signature on the wall summore..
now got a lot of resort,swimming pools,and many more liao..
want to go see how big a difference from 6 years ago..

hows da food at laguna?? at redang beach food okok la... buffet oso...
Damn its hot at redang... Those intend to have sum beer or supper, prepare sum $$, coz no ATM machine over there....

actually i notice tat da beach along laguna resort till Redang bay resort, da beach sand was nice... till one morning me and sum frens thought wana watch sun set at 6.30am at other side of da resort.... think need to walk around 10-15min walk distance... other side of da resort consist redang bay and etc (i forgot wat other resort) da sand over there werent that nice... abit rough...

The buffet at Laguna is not that bad la. Although many ppl complained but i think for the price we pay, cannot expect lobsters or tiger prawns la. Have to be realistic. The beach in front of Laguna is beautiful. I will post some pictures after im done with the post processing. Too many photo already.

u trip is 3days /2 night? how much ?

think my next trip would be pulau perhentian...but i wonder does it same thingy like redang??
