I heard white hibiscus are for medicinal purposes so I scared it causes side effects for the tortoise.

I use all colours ( red the most prolific n prefered ) , as long as not sprayed with pesticide or from roadside ( carbon monoxide residue from cars .... )

Cheers

Hi fellow RES-keeper smile.gif
The flakes are shedded skin, means your RES is growing and is completely normal, no worries.
My RES periodically sheds massive amounts of skin too.

Oh btw do put an elevated platform for your RES to climb out of the water and dry itself completely.
Prolonged submersion in water is not natural for RES and may cause continued skin shedding.
They need to dry and bask in direct sunlight (or similar UV light source) for optimum health.

Thanks, hope you're right about the skin! Yeah we have a platform for them to bask, the photo I posted was a holding tank while I was cleaning the aquarium smile.gif

What could be the cost of my soft shell turtle death.

One died yesterday, and another one today morning.

- The baby fishes are doing fine ( Long Kang fish )
- Shrimp are doing fine
- The water is still crystal clear
- Good filteration system
- Location - Outdoor

It didn't have the "white fungus" yesterday. What causes the white fungus ?

As for raining, not really much.

Thus, how do I proceed in curing the others ?
