QUOTE(SAMPERTH @ Oct 1 2010, 05:28 AM) Takes time !! But some are more shy and thus need more time !! Thanks. My adult is already used to the weather. Even likes sleeping in the rain. LOL. No RNS visible. So I assume it is okay. Has been out for a month+. Now training the juveniles. have 2 shelters for them for emergency. lol.

QUOTE(camillenoir @ Oct 6 2010, 10:30 PM) nope. we love stars. we just don't hate the legal complications that accompany them. that nokia cam sure pack a punch Added on October 6, 2010, 10:42 pmget that opuntia. pick varieties with low glochid/spine count (cochenillifera, ficus-indica, etc). normally tortoises don't have trouble with them, as it is their natural food. the high water content is also a plus. not to mention that they come in a variety of sizes and colors. other than that - grasses, mulberry, grapes, hibiscus, dandelion -> these are not just safe, but double up as good sources of food. So I can just cut the cactus and feed it to them without removing any spines??

Anyone with outdoor enclosures? Mind to share pics? Am taking note to improve my "paradise". Setting up a higher fence asap. What else?? Planting hibiscus and tomatoes already. The water after rain seems to get stuck in the enclosure. Any tips to solve this matter?

Regarding my enclosure. I have just got my fence up to those who previously saw my enclosure. Now my dog cannot intrude my enclosure and attack my torts Comments? Other than drainage? The tomato plant has been moved to a further location.

Who said it was a star tortoise? I never mentioned that. It's for my RES Note: The previous post I've also mentioned it was not my picture. I'm just using it as a reference cause it is similar to mine. This post has been edited by kenn91: Nov 25 2010, 08:33 PM

True about the drainage problem. Hhhm. But what if I were to increase the ground level to a slope so the water would flow out to one direction? or I could put pebbles at that area? Cause If I move it right next to the building, my mom would slaughter me. Lol. Nag bout me destroying the 5 foot way. Haha. Well your idea is great moving it there. I will consider on renovating it's sanctuary. Thank you so much for all your opinions Fully appreciate them Added on November 29, 2010, 7:14 pmI wonder if we could use this picture for the forum thumbnail.
