I think screen protectors for laptops are not cheap if I didn't remember wrongly.. I dun really think there's a need la if we're careful enough... Our desktop LCD Monitors dun even need them either ar...

i use the original screen protectors , i never take out the plastic stick at the screen there

@verdanglite, for the 1st month I still had the sticker and transparent plastic covering the screen... BUT there had been countless ppl telling me how UGLY it is... had to take off in the end hahahha.. It's after that then I realise the laptop is actually quite pretty

My friend with K50AB still has the plastic

just enable loudness equalization and your speakers should be louder...
for me the speakers are still ok compared to the crappy 4741g speakers which i cant even hear anything

Guys, anyone know which cooler is suitable for A42Jv? As, I might leave my laptop on 24/7 for downloading stuffs, I am planning to get a proper one that is actually effective for lowering temperature unlike the freebies version..
Any good recommendations? Cooler Master D1 good enough ar?

i use my a42jv as download machine,24/7 on and without any laptop cooler,except for taking off the ram & hard disk cover.

I still can't found any position for my fan to cool the A42Jv last time, seems like doesn't affect any drop

Since the ventilation hole on the CPU is so small, even smaller than those on Compaq V3000 series, seems like the intake air is from the front side, beside the speaker....

Still can't find the sweet spot to cool down the A42Jv...

e.g. for my Acer, if I put the fan towards the heatsink where the hot air supposed to come out, it drop my CPU temp by 20C, from 6xC max to around 43C max, idle is around 29C. with non-aircond room...

When i ask for the price of Asus A42JV, the guy show me a price list showing A42jv for RM 2599, i ask how much if i get it with upgrade to 4gb ram then the guy quote me 2600...How did u get 2400?the price list show its 2599...Lucky i can get upgrade to 4gb without additional cost...
