i just bought the a42jv model and update to latest nvidia 258.96 driver,however i notice there is no nvidia optimus driver/program preinstalled,do i really need that program?

i m playing counter strike 1.6,i select run with high performace nvidia gpu,but when i check the gpu activity,there is no running,any idea?

i use my a42jv as download machine,24/7 on and without any laptop cooler,except for taking off the ram & hard disk cover.
