Similar price, different GPU, downgrade abit, using ATi HD5145, no support DX11.
Jr discontinued due to shortage of ATi HD5470... |

Nvidia Optimus, switchable GPU...
Try run GPU-Z and check whether both GMA HD and Nvidia GT335M can be detected? |

From some source I found, A42Jv has Optimus, but on Asus website didn't mention

Try see on Nvidia Control Panel, search around something with 3D,
If it got Optimus, it should have some profile option to launch program with either GMA HD or Nvidia GT335M.... |

Most likely because the mechanism of Optimus.
The complex calculation is being done by GT335M but the output is done by Intel HD... |

Yeah, the switching is depends on the profile you set or updated profile from Nvidia...
Is there any option to use discrete/integrated gpu when right clicking apps ? |

If don't have, then the switching mechanism is really dependent on the profiles...
Because last time, on video introduction of Optimus, the people in it can start apps with specific gpu just by right clicking and choose it.... |
