may i ask, do TF2 listed in the steam? cause mine dun have it. I bought is under my account, but din see it.

It'll be available at a later date. They had a bug or two they are trying to iron out.

TF2 isnt available on the Mac yet. Maybe next Wednesday.

There seems to be a number of new releases that claim to be Mac compatible, like the Secret of Monkey Island bundle. Can anybody confirm?

It works, but its extremely slow. 20 FPS, max settings, on my hackintosh ati 4850, 4 gb ram, core 2 duo 3 ghz. Unoptimized drivers?

My favourite Counter-Strike is not available yet..

The Steam app itself has quite a few bugs and it's eating up the RAM.

Damn I needa be quick tonight to get the free portal game... still on office and have to wait after work =(

I started downloading Portal before leaving for work today. Hopefully it's done once I'm back home

doesnt download in sleep. you can turn off your display while it downloads tho.

portal performance is kinda ehhh. have to turn off fps killing video options like color correction and anti-aliasing. it still looks alright, playing native res 1920x1200.

Been playing Torchlight at full graphical settings without lag, bar a few instances of frame-rate drops. The body of my MBP doesn't even get warm after 1-2 hours of gaming.

whats your graphics card.

I should have screaming performance with my ATI 4850, but its whacked. Only 20 FPS on full settings.

the engine is buggy, ie not perfect, turn off color correction, AA if necessary.

Hmm turning off the monitor is the only way then.... Nvm Ill leave the charger plugged in during work and leave it to download..

mine so smooth @1920x1080, maybe time to change to nvidia…less headache..btw mine on 10.6.2 coz i heard at netkas.org 10.6.3 get opengl perf decrease

I fixed my slowdowns. Paragon 7.0 (allows you to read Win partitions) has some serious bugs. Upgraded to 8.0, and speed is fixed now.

I get >60 FPS.

how u guys get the fps count?

btw portal runs smooth on my MBP hehe. had to turn on vsync though, i didnt need this in XP last time. im not sure if colour correction got impact or not...i turn it off cuz i think it looks better that way

Just finished Portal.... awsome.... test chamber 17 to 19 are freaking hard for me...

haha same here.. 3 hours gameplay i got a bug though... can't see through my portals after a few levels
