I think my 50mm F/1.8D lens is having a problem |:

Looks like 3 (or more) of my aperture blades are not opening fully at F/1.8. Hence the uneven shaped bokeh. :|

guys, had a photo taken just now (night) there is a portion of the image appearing upside down in the photo (ghosting)... this is normal when using a filter right? didn't have the chance to take off the filter to try yet...
using kenko uv filter by the way.

f2.8.. uhm maybe u can try f8 or smaller (f22 the best) and use flash to make the BG more decent.. and s the flash wont be too harsh..

I use a Kenko UV filter too on my 18-105, haven't experienced what you've described.

Doubt it's so.

Uneven shape bokeh because it's 7 blade.

Bro, is this taken at 11mm?
I find that the distortion behind seems to be a bit bad, was it possible to zoom in a little to maybe 13-14mm, then step backwards by a few steps and move the models forward as well. Not sure if this will work, but tbh, the distortion is quite distracting.

Apart from that, as Freddy mentioned, try using a smaller aperture and the flash seems a little harsh... smile.gif

i guess its normal when u use not so good quality filter. it happens to me whn i use my sunblitz filter. after i change to a better filter, theres no more ghosting/flare.

Hey guys,

I need some help here. I'm going to penang to check on some lens price. Could anyone tell me how much this Nikon 18-200VR 1 and nikon f/1.2 Als manual lens cost in KL ? Roughly is enough so i can compare later. I already know the price in shashinki just wanna make sure if KL selling cheaper or penang.
Thanks in advance. notworthy.gif

Pretty sure there's something wrong with it because the bokeh has always been fully circular before.
Besides, when the lens is off camera around 5 blades or so can be clearly seen while the other 2 blades can't be seen at F/1.8.
