well,i believe everyone will get the external flash in the end..so the question come..how much was ur budget on external flash?? if no budget then just get sb900,else u can opt for nissin di866...but i would stick to nikon to save from trouble...XD

Hmm i see...thanks for the advise...I noticed another thing...for D90 the ISO lowest it can reach is 200? is this a limitation to D90? Or is there something we can do about that as well?

Nikon CMOS sensors are all designed to run at 200ISO. You can go to Lo1.0 which is equivalent to 100ISO but don't expect for good quality.

I thought the general rule of thumb is the lower the iso the better the image quality?

Care to explain a bit on the lo 1.0 iso on d90 and the effect on image quality? smile.gif

there is only one type of d90..
DX means cropped sensor(d300 and below)...FX means full frame sensor.. (D700 and above)
and the term usually used at nikkor lense..

I usually came across these two different terms in Amazon..they use D90 DX for body only and D90 if selling with kit lens..

Lo1.0 and Hi1.0 aren't real ISO actually, they are more like sort of 'software rendering'. D90's sensor is designed to be used at 200 to 3200 with Lo1.0 as 100 equivalent and Hi1.0 as 6400 equivalent.

there's Lo0.3 and 0.7 also, means 30 and 70? Btw by default settings, its set to lo0.3. Should i set my ISO setting to auto specifying the min and max iso i would like to have? hmm.gif Not sure which is the best though, lets say i want to take photos during a wedding dinner (indoor), no time to set set, later miss the chance to take some best snaps/shots moment hmmm

Lo0.3 and Lo0.7 is somewhere between 100 and 200, don't know the exact value. 200 is the min and the best, but if you're doing wedding dinner indoor, you need 800 and above definitely.
