Yeah they provided two bags . 1 was those standard DSLR bag, and another is an ordinary Sling Bag with Nikon Branding i suppose.

I got it during the PC Fair and apparently they were having some extra promotions of *Free* Photo Album printing if i were to take enough shots for the PC fair and be back on the next day for the printing..But then again , i pass up on it. Not worth the messed(referring to PC Fair) lol

Need more idea's on where to improve smile.gif

I noticed that a lot of the photographers include a watermark/siggy on their photo's...as i'm not really good in photo editing, is there a simple way to do that as well? Hahahaha

I have a very *silly* question i would like to ask. Since everyone in here are D90 users so it should be simple.

A) D90's body has the Auto Focus motor built in, does it mean that we can opt to use Lens which does not have the built in auto focus?

B) VR/Vibration Reduction. This is referring to the feature on the lense. How big of a effect does this VR play? And is it recommended that we opt for lense with VR function? At what scenario would it have the most effect on?

C) I'm currently using the D90 with their standard kit lense of 18mm-105mm . At a certain close distance from the object, it can't seem to focus. Is this due to *Non-Macro* lense?Or is this a Limitation of D90/DSLR as a whole?

All the sifu's please advice smile.gif

A) Yes, you can use those older lens which is driven by screw. 50mm f/1.8D is one example.

B) Try shooting at slow shutter with VR ON and OFF, you will get your answer. VR effects a lot for low light condition due to low shutter.

C) The kit lens has a minimum of 0.45m, you can't go any closer than that.

Thanks for all the information.

A) Fully understood .

B) For lower lighting conditions most probably you'll be either;
i) using Flash
ii) Using tripod

Thus the functionality of the VR would be nulified right? Correct me if i'm wrong

C) So if we were to use the Macro lense, it shouldn't be a problem right? Hmmm

Hmmm so can i conclude, if its moving object in low lighting area, the VR won't be able to save me as well?

And if i really were to use a Tripod, i should just disable VR?

Oh yea, another question, for a beginner like me , would you recommend that i get a External Flash Unit? If yes, what should i look for? Any specific criteria?

Hmm i see...thanks for the advise...I noticed another thing...for D90 the ISO lowest it can reach is 200? is this a limitation to D90? Or is there something we can do about that as well?

Hi all, I jz bought a 50mm f1.8 AF-D lens for my D90 few days back. Now I'm having one prob, I bought a 30bux Keep UV filter for my lens. Unfortunately, I'm not too sure if I'm right, I notice quite a noticeable decrease in sharpness for my img when the UV filter is on and it is most pronounced at f2.8...

This is my first lens I purchase after my kit set. Anyone can enlighten me on this with personal experience? Obviously, I don't wanna compromise on img quality that much jz becuz I wan the protection of the filter...

Hi , i just bought that too for less than 2 weeks and mine came with the Keep UV Filter, but i don't really face the problems you mentioned. "It most pronounced at f2.8"? Does this mean that your Aperture can't go lower than that?

Another thing i noticed regarding the 50mm f1.8D, is that there is this Toggle on the lens(closest to the body when attached)which has a ranged of 22->1.8. If the toggle is not set at 22, the body comes up with an error. Any idea what's that? And there's also this Orange switch. What's that too?

Own a Nikon D90 recently & looking for a flash to go with it. Have three modes in mind but can't decide. Comments and suggestion for these models are most welcomed. Nissin Di866, Nikon SB600 & Metz 48AF-1.

TQ

Hmmmm sorry for the late reply guys, so comparing three Metz 48AF-1, Nikon SB600 & Nissin Di866,

Can i summarize that
In terms of performance, Metz 48AF-1 is the best? And in terms of Price Metz 48AF-1 is the most expensive one? Anyone here has actually used this flash before? Would like to know if there are any significant side effects on this ? I'm just a little worried on third party equipments.
