i dont care about what car you drive whatever, mostly car salesman driving wira only ( because they have nothing to show off, unlike young fresh graduates. )
Belittle me as much as you like, I drive a Kancil, but it'll be one day where you meet a 'salesman' that drives a BMW, that will be the day you regret treating the sales industry with no respect because they have a choice not to sell you, and neither am I obliged to do so too.
By the way, I am not a 'roadside salesman' as you thinking I am, and I don't see a need to boast about my standing in the company here.

if you think ppl dont care about resale value, let me tell you one thing, hyundai is not the brand (yet) for ppl to sacrifice resale value. Peugeot, yes, bmw, yes, MB, yes, alfa romeo, yes.
Didn't I already said, pre-owned Sonata 2.0 High Spec all sold out at SD headquarter just recently for 124k?

you're a car salesman that is more active in forum, i guess there's no honda/toyota salesman here, i wonder why.
In the year 2011, there is something called mobile computing and wireless internet access. I enjoy keeping my prospect in touch digitally through my iPad during my showroom duties, not to mention all the great games on the iOS.

lol. you buy car without looking at the price? you sick? or are you the kind of guy saying " my imaginary girlfren is hotter than megan fox?" you buy a car without looking at price? so you choose a hyundai ( in this case, elantra?) lol. not a better car? hey, i'm rich, i dont care about price/resale value, yea, so i got myself a hyundai elantra. huh?
I wouldn't insult my girlfriend that way, however incomparable she is to Megan Fox, she's still the prettiest girl to me.
If I really want to buy a car that's worth my money, I wouldn't even get an Elantra. My dealer is just 15 minutes drive away from my house, and my largest hobby(computer gaming) do not require me to travel around, i10 would serves me perfectly, especially at a place where parking is so hard to come by. Also, unlike you, the last thing I care about a car is resales value, my money's worth enjoying in a car that I like to drive, rather than forcing myself to drive a Vios just because it has a mythical attribute called 'resale value'.
On the contrary, price concious people should realize by now that many cars out there are overpriced and underspeced. I won't mention what car as brand crusader will appear and derail this topic all over again.
QUOTE(turbocharged @ Dec 3 2011, 04:22 PM)
again, if your elantra is selling at rm120,000(which is same price as 1.8civic) . good luck to your sales.
if your elantra is selling at <rm 100,000, its shows your higher management is smarter than you, thus they are higher management, so, worry not, the car can sell.
I think in the process of recuperating a snapped nerve, you got my point mixed up. We all know better Elantra must be priced below stronger brand to sell well. We all learnt the hard way with the i30 last time.
What my dare mean is if I ever own a new C-segment sedan, it would be an Elantra before a Civic or any other car. To shut the price critics up, I'll match the cost of ownership by adding third party accessories into my Elantra.
QUOTE
1. elantra in malaysia will always price lower than any japan competitor such as civic/altis, just like kia forte.
2. elantra is not even launched, and its already better than civic? (fanboism?)
3. Price is always number one in car buying. if you dont think so, you should get a bmw, thats a car. blow water is always easier, my dddd is longer than your dddd kind of talk is childish.
no hard feelings, enjoy your weekend.
1. This is something we can finally agree on.
2. In what aspect and is very subjective. People who doesn't like the Civic doesn't automatically means the Civic sucks and vice versa. For many of us here, we love the Elantra.
3. If price is number one, why are people still paying so much for so much lesser? Paying more for so less does not equate to being price concious.
I should be the one saying no hard feelings to you, as I got onto your nerve didn't I?

Agree that Elantra is a great car, no doubt, with good feedback and review from overseas but as far as we Malaysian concern, it is only a great car overseas and remain as it is, the car has not launch in Malaysia yet!
Hyundai SD announced the VELOSTER will be launched in Q1 next year but what about Elantra? On the FB it only says announcement will be made "this month", Dec 31st perhaps? and what if the announcement is the launch in Q1 and delivery in Q2, thats freaking 6 months from now!
Hyundai SD and you SA, do something right please, dont just keep us waiting!
Speculation now is it'll be a double launch(Veloster+Elantra) in 2012, most of the reason we heard regarding the delay are also speculation and I am very sure Sime Darby wouldn't want such delay it they weren't necessary. As for the lengthy delivery period for Hyundai cars, please understand that demand is outstripping supply globally. HMC just couldn't keep up the demand growth despite many production increase.
CKD or CBU, parts still have to come from somewhere.
By the way, CKD Elantra MD is already in Malaysia, waiting to be assembled together.
