It's nothing to do with new in VAIO... It's still the same setting by the WINDOWS under display setting, dpi ratio.

Adjust the dpi setting to ur preferred view.

Seems like Vaio CW price has been reduced.

CW model is EOL, and E Series (EA) will be as a subtitute for CW at the same price of RM3999
definitely CW price has to fall or else no1 will buy the old stock =X

Any major difference between CW and E-series? I found that the screen resolution is actually higher for CW series...

i recently purchased a Vaio S117GG. I found that the sound quality sucks big time. The volume is very low even after the volume control is already max. On top of that the sound quality is horrible.

Anyway to improve the volume and sound quality?

sadly nothing you can do. the only way is to use headphone/earphone/external speaker.

Cw scored higher scores than EA i wonder why.
In the website it state that CW can have an alternate battery that give a max of 4.5hours.
However, they state that EA only have max of 2.5hours not stating there's an alternate battery but i see the optional accessories
the battery that gives CW a 4.5hours battery is also in the EA but they didn't state it in the Specification

In the US site they can custom made the EA series and give it a 1600x900 resolution as well but obviously we don't have it =/
I know EA is better than CW but something is holding me back for some reason and i don't know what.
Besides that currently i'm using a Toshiba M500-S433 series

I'm given the chance to change for a EA or a CW as this model have some problem with the compatibility with its hardware as i heard.
So yea i like the harman/kardon speaker of the Toshiba and i know i'm slightly degrading when i'm changing it to VAIO.

So i need help to clear some of my doubts and i need opinion for this.

The EAs look very similar to CW and i think they are meant to replace CW series. Based on the reviews at notebookcheck i would still stick to CW if i have to choose. Speaker wise, i use external speakers so i don't really care.

hey, i couldn't update the control center updates and also the PMB VAIO plug in (Vaio MOvie Story). how come? keep fail to update. anyone can help me??

the reviews i see are not the specs that we know of EA16..for CW dunno....

yea its not a review on the real model EA16 but its roughly an europe model or sth similar with design and stuff.
same goes with cw

all in all i see that the EA lose in terms of battery life and the exhaust fan noise and

EA wins on weight

for the hardware and all..hard to make comparison...coz its not the one we've been looking for...

i think i still prefer EA..just my opinion

I think EA can use the alternate battery that gives CW a 4.5 hour battery life. You can check it at the website
Look under CW specification for the battery model that provides 4.5hours then
look under EA accessories. I think its the same battery model so yea hopefully it can be used as well.

agreed overall for the hardware, definitely EA wins CW, however CW have a better screen resolution of 1600x900 tht all.

In most ppl's point of view EA will definitely be a better choice and also CW series is a EOL model.
