For what u wanna take dark place wor..Anyway for your curiosity..I have to admit..SE Vivaz having more boises than Pana at very-very low lighting..both also bad but Pana abit better..But using flash, The picture although clearer using Pana..but overexposed wor..I dun like flaghed picture..Yes SE vivaz LED is hopel;ess to me..but I just refused to use any articial lights..haha..Photos taken using any artifiail light are hopeless wna..

eventually, maybe, but not even in this coming 10 years i think

camera now, even DSLR, u cant dump the ISO to a very high value without noise yet...
and phone camera now, due to it's packed camera, obviously could hardly even bump to what a DSLR call low value(800) that can have proper quality...
there are just too many factors on DSLR that cameraphone will not be replacing it in near future

Let see.....I dun even dare to say a cam phone better than cheap digicam b4 vivaz..haha..now I'm a believer liao

There is a difference between a camera phone, DSLR and digital camera.

Phones camera are actually digital zoom means they only enlarge the picture not really go there.

Optical lens really goes nearer to the object. Most phones are still in digital zoom. For point and shoot N8 its a nice phone

stimix: that camera u tested is low end?? i not really that familiar with camera models...i wonder how it perform against better PnS cams?

and that thing is like a camera with GSM antenna...

the curious part for me with Nokia N8 is how is the quality of the speaker.
because if u read everywhere dolby only available if u plug it to a system with surround sound system. So what speaker is the phone itself really using? Is it better than Nokia 5800XM or worse hmmmm

Correct it support only thru HDMI. Den The curious part what speaker is it using? Some ppl confuse thinking the phone speaker is dolby surround keke

tht thing seriously is a phone camera not camera phone lol,look at the options beside the shutter key

regarding the speaker,nokia speaker so far i think the quality is all bout the same.jz tht the XM series have louder speakers.and yeah dolby oni through home theater system

optical zoom of course will coz quality drop too because ur aperature getting small, the light go to ur sensor reduce.. to compensate this u need a longer shuttle time OR a higher sensitivity(ISO)... then there are more complication coming in and reduce the quality of the picture..

of course .. it is not like digital Chop... I dont call it a zoom.. basically it is not a zoom but just a chopping of the photo...

no u dont watch them on n8, but it act as a player, thats what the HDMI connector is for, to plug it on ur system.

nahhh I think LX 3 still better...especially in dark area..that's where both Lumix TZ15 & even Vivaz failed haha...Let see N8...Low light Vivaz still produced stunning images but not dark area

i hope the music quality through headphone will be good oso.at least comparable with the iphone 3gs.tht's enough to make me buy this phone edi

Sound quality of NA Vivaz worst than N5800! haha..if u are looking for sound quality..i think nothing beat Nokia 5800..haha

i compared my 3gs and my friends 5800 sq using the same headset and same eq settings.i prefer my 3gs sound more,not to say the 5800 sounded bad,but its jz not my taste.the X6 sq isn't really good thou compared to those 2

sq is personal preference,unlike photo quality
