although I am Symbian user for so many generation, there is 1 thing needless to deny....

Iphone sales volume speak by itself.. their marketing strategy win over nokia by far...

althought those day N95 vs Iphone 2G, N95 win almost in every single aspect... But Apple still sell plenty of Iphone 2G....

now those advantages are gone for Nokia... so.. have to suffer... I hope nokia won't follow SE step.... and I felt Symbian^3 will only suffer compare to other OS...

the only hope are in the meamo then MeeGo... else... sorry Nokia...

compare sales unit of nokia flagship devices vs iphone devices.

then plus RM100++ nokia phone using by mat bangla. RM300++ by our parents.

i think nokia have a big win.

the most important thing for a company... how much they make a year.. and how fast they gain....

a larger sensor compare to a smaller sensor will have advantage if both of them same resolution.. coz it can capture light faster than a smaller one....

The N97 now wasn't the final stage yet. We might see SOME improvement to the phone after it's newer firmware upgrade.  hmm.gif

Yeah I leave cause the Symbian^1 was so laggy and buggy. Due to hardware and etc2. But the OS still simplest then Milestone I used. Symbian^3 might be suited with me  laugh.gif
*
I understand ur feeling... coz symbian still have a lot minor/easy to use step when u already use to it all this while....

when I jump over to WinMo.. then cannot stand it n jump back to Symbian, I instantly like back the symbian...

I'll choose N8 after bought and sold my N900. N900 is just too heavy, and I finally realize how good is Capacitive touchscreen after using Milestone.  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

The key word is the 'ads'.

Hopefully, N8 won't be a disappointment.

Wonder how much the AP would cost.
*
try to avoid AP in the very first batch of phone... else u gonna cry like some n97 ap owner...

Desire is the brother version of Google Nexus1.. the HTC own version... Currently the leading Android....

But soon Samsung have a SuperAMOLED screen phone which will be higher quality than the already good AMOLED screen...

optical zoom of course will coz quality drop too because ur aperature getting small, the light go to ur sensor reduce.. to compensate this u need a longer shuttle time OR a higher sensitivity(ISO)... then there are more complication coming in and reduce the quality of the picture..

of course .. it is not like digital Chop... I dont call it a zoom.. basically it is not a zoom but just a chopping of the photo...

Added on April 29, 2010, 11:59 pmHDMI/DOLBY... that is pointless.... u going to enjoy Dolby Digital surround on a < 4" screen? that is a real joke...

to judge the sound quality, see the set can generate how linear the sound for the whole sound frequncy spectrum, and also see how low the THD etc... then what personal preference can be adjust on the EQ...

no u dont watch them on n8, but it act as a player, thats what the HDMI connector is for, to plug it on ur system.
*
U will not want to store a whole dvd quality movie on the set to watch on ur TV...

I think their main point is u can watch the high quality captured video by the set itself.....

honestly with that price, i really gonna buy one
why not? nowadays storage quite cheap edi, and even internal flash memory is getting bigger and bigger...i don see a full DVD quality movie, or even series, will do much harm....after all, u can always delete after watching
@nakalboy: right now the we only know it's gonna be around Q3 this year, exact month and date, not sure..
*
how cheap is the cheap u mean? how big memory do u have? how many DVD movie u can store for a average 4GB DVD movie? laugh.gif

does it practicle to store n delete the movie again n again on ur phone just to watch it using the phone? instead of holking up a HTPC to ur TV.. laugh.gif

not yet talking about when u watching half way a phone call come in...

some Digi Cam in the market hav the HDMI ability, who hook it up to watch a movie on it?

@bufung: a DVDrip is just 700MB, higher qualities one are 1.4GB or so, and 1 8GB memory card is ~RM70 last time i check...unlike last time u have to pay RM100++ for 8GB..
somemore the fact that it's gonna be 16GB built in...i dunno about other ppl, but my photo + music never occupy more then 3GB..so that 13GB i can still dump ~10 full length movies into it...it's the same way on ur PC also mah...i get the movie, finish watching, delete/burn out if u wanna keep...

plus...i didnt really say anything about watching it thru HDMI that often..maybe once in a while, but for me i know i'll be watching some past time tv-series/movies on the phone itself lo
*
Dude... watch a DVDrip , normal composite output is enough...

we are talking about the purpose of HDMI.. at least 720p .. and now.. we are talking about Dolby Surround(Dolby Digital) here... 720p... already way beyond a 4GB DVD quality...

then u are talking about watching the Movie on the phone itself, what are the purpose of the Dolby? doh.gif

err..i didnt even mention dobly stuff when i say watch movie mah...i was talking about storage all along..and u also mention DVD quality movie, not HD

to be honest, about that HD playback part, i agree with u that it just means can watch the video u captured urself, HDMI out, maybe, one is a while, for fun, i might use...but not for movie..maybe share with friends/family some of the video that i have captured using the phone..
*
susah la bro... special port from them.. not common.... I never even use my N95 video output at all... same goes to my N97...
