The N97 now wasn't the final stage yet. We might see SOME improvement to the phone after it's newer firmware upgrade. 

Yeah I leave cause the Symbian^1 was so laggy and buggy. Due to hardware and etc2. But the OS still simplest then Milestone I used. Symbian^3 might be suited with me 

I'll choose N8 after bought and sold my N900. N900 is just too heavy, and I finally realize how good is Capacitive touchscreen after using Milestone.   

The key word is the 'ads'.

Hopefully, N8 won't be a disappointment.

no u dont watch them on n8, but it act as a player, thats what the HDMI connector is for, to plug it on ur system.

why not? nowadays storage quite cheap edi, and even internal flash memory is getting bigger and bigger...i don see a full DVD quality movie, or even series, will do much harm....after all, u can always delete after watching

No-lah my SE Vivaz size at 97Gm & 3.2 " screen just nice...bigger than this will be the brix sixed satio, super brix Ifon & those 3.7' pda phone..I migrated lower than those brix sized phone long time ago liao..dunwan to go back!!..wanna switch from Vivaz back to Nokia mah..bcos the lack of support from playnow compare to ovi store & the inferior gps chipset inside vivaz 

@bufung: a DVDrip is just 700MB, higher qualities one are 1.4GB or so, and 1 8GB memory card is ~RM70 last time i check...unlike last time u have to pay RM100++ for 8GB..
somemore the fact that it's gonna be 16GB built in...i dunno about other ppl, but my photo + music never occupy more then 3GB..so that 13GB i can still dump ~10 full length movies into it...it's the same way on ur PC also mah...i get the movie, finish watching, delete/burn out if u wanna keep...

plus...i didnt really say anything about watching it thru HDMI that often..maybe once in a while, but for me i know i'll be watching some past time tv-series/movies on the phone itself lo

err..i didnt even mention dobly stuff when i say watch movie mah...i was talking about storage all along..and u also mention DVD quality movie, not HD

to be honest, about that HD playback part, i agree with u that it just means can watch the video u captured urself, HDMI out, maybe, one is a while, for fun, i might use...but not for movie..maybe share with friends/family some of the video that i have captured using the phone..
