And what are the odds that Meego rolls over BEFORE PR1.2, by some odd chance lol.
*
They emphasize a lot on MeeGo, it's development is consistent and very fast, but PR1.2 takes ages. Previous MeeGo release (console version) there was a date mentioned and accurately it was launch on that date. Now they announce MeeGo 1.0. They're really neglecting PR1.2, it's very sad....

Btw, Android 2.2 already available for Nexus One, and it comes with Flash 10.
The others will need to wait as there is customization for each manufacturer.

my name is still not in the list for the 3-combo items tongue.gif
anyway, i just surfed using my 3G for 10 minutes, and the phone getting hotter and hotter.. not warm, but quite hot. Is it normal?
Even using my WLAN was not hot like this  sweat.gif
*
It's zee battery... even when you put your phone to charge, you'll feel the warmness, or you can call it hot.
If you have the DC-11 Nokia Charger, when you used it to charge you can feel the DC-11 gets warm, or you can call it hot.

all this concludes that meego will be getting full support from the first party meanwhile maemo after 1.2, will be community driven. die or live in the developers hands. nokia has abandoned the ship.

also, just how great is froyo is? apart the flash 10.1 beta?

If MeeGo is comes out really good it's not a bad thing isn't it?

If you guys were given choice between MeeGo 1.0 & PR 1.2 which 1 do you want to try 1st?

well yeah hopefully hehe. maemo is one great OS too.

just a thought of mine though..

the long delay and the accuracy of meego announcements have be-puzzled me and leaves one pondering... see, the n900 meego for developers, in-vehicle meego, and now the rumor of meego coming end of May which was the exact date they promised. (if it gets released by this week lah) but 1.2.. umm..

one cant help thinking maemo is getting kicked aside.. but we can hope the apps will be both usable on maemo and meego lol

p/s: and being community driven is not a bad thing too. wink.gif. there are lots of dedicated pro developers out there.

This is the official MeeGo UI.From what I gather Nokia putting more emphasis on phone functions on MeeGo.I'm afraid that MeeGo will loose somethings that we were too used with Maemo.

just because it shows the phone UI doesnt mean it will supersede maemo great tablet functions mahh. furthermore, 1.2 introduces Qt framework, same goes to meego. so whatever happens, they are interlinked so functions wise would be more or less the same. i think.. like father, like son but with variations. something like that.

but personally i'd be more interested in meego, especially if they follow a six month release schedule. just like Ubuntu.. i miss hardy heron.

anddd i hope that will be the default wallpaper for meego 1.0.

For those using DynDNS, try check if your router supports it from its firmware.

This is a much cleaner approach, and your router will automatically update your IP whenever your IP changes.
Plus, you won't be needing any background software on your PC to be running.

Linksys routers do (DDNS), but only certain models.
Not all models of router firmware is compatible, so beware!
I have once used an incompatible DDNS router firmware, and my DynDNS account was disabled, with specific reasons pointing to incompatible client update (using my Dlink NAS).

You can actually check the compatible router models from DynDNS (I think).

digimms for ur apn settings
MMS Setting
Setting Name: DiGi MMS

Gateway IP Address: 203.092.128.160
Data bearer: GPRS
Access Point Name: digimms
Authentication Type: Normal
User Name: mms
Password: mms
Prompt Password: No
Connection Security: off
Session Mode: Permanent

Basically there are 3 different "connection modes" - one where it tries to setup a connection in the background (havoc), one where it forces a disconnect from the current one (rude) and a final setting which tries to connect to the correct IAP only if no other connection is active (polite). Hopefully this will void the need to cache resized images as well
