The updates in leaked PR1.2 is disappointing, hope they actual PR1.2 is a MAJOR difference. And yes, you NOT only required to re-install eveything, you need to re-DOWNLOAD everything; Unless you keep the installation files, actually they should give the option to save the installation files. Plus, the App Manager is resource heavy, when it's running, better to let it finish its job first. Hope they're able to improve on that.

I've never experience the wifi batt drain bug honestly. Maybe there's something you installed?

They need more stable hildon-desktop and all the core processes, better memory management for these processes so it doesn't hang or stop responding to ensure smoothness.

Anyway, Android 2.2 Froyo update list looks extremely promising, with Flash 10.1 and claimed improvements of up to 5X and it's coming in June???. The Droid/Milestone running 2.1 is already very smooth. Nokia has lotsa catch-up to do, and they should pay more attention to N900 as I see them concerntrates a lot on MeeGo project, and also Symbian^3. N900 is sort of like an unfinished product, they should first emphasize on it first, but seems to me, they're preparing for MeeGo device to replace this N900 and save all the hassle. Hope they can really put more attention on N900. It's a superb device but with very poor support and updates from Nokia, the community support is far far better.

hi guys, i'm really considering to buy either the n900 or milestone. actually i have preference for nokia as i have always liked and supported nokia. my current phone is E90. the outlook of communicator series is quite bleak. i dun think they will bring out a communicator successor to E90 soon.

but reading many opinions here, seems like many n900 user regret not getting the milestone instead. yet milestone doesn't have the 32GB flash compared to n900. i would say that's a major tradeoff with having a PR1.2 now in a milestone. what say you guys? get milestone now coz it got better support, or get n900 and hope and wait they will come out with support but content coz the hardware spec chosen i superior?

concerning the price of both devices they are roughly similar. but which phone has better price/worth ratio? pls share ur opinions. i am really itching to change to touch phone and also my e90 is dying (bluetooth not working, earport spoil). thanks guys

They emphasize a lot on MeeGo, it's development is consistent and very fast, but PR1.2 takes ages. Previous MeeGo release (console version) there was a date mentioned and accurately it was launch on that date. Now they announce MeeGo 1.0. They're really neglecting PR1.2, it's very sad....

Btw, Android 2.2 already available for Nexus One, and it comes with Flash 10.
The others will need to wait as there is customization for each manufacturer.
It's zee battery... even when you put your phone to charge, you'll feel the warmness, or you can call it hot.
If you have the DC-11 Nokia Charger, when you used it to charge you can feel the DC-11 gets warm, or you can call it hot.

Spring one, depend how you positioned it, so far mine is OK, can watch movie too.

Nokia will not release Meego for N900, but Meego (the org) will release Meego on the N900, even if it's just the dev edition.

Anyhow, I've really gotten used to the quirks of Maemo, so a release like PR1.2 which is mostly bugfixes with so little new things is actually quite welcome, lol.

I just want the darned thing to run well without freezes and bugs, features can be added by the community later.

Or better yet, Nokia should make the whole Maemo 5 and everything that comes with it open source and watch as a rabid community creates the craziest phone the world has ever seen, at a very very slow pace.

But I do agree on the "choice" part, Adobe just has to make flash less of a pig on resources, because of which I do prefer pure HTML and AJAX.

But if it was up to me, the entire net should be all text and pictures anyway lol.
