I find this answer is intersting
Same as DL said. Bodybuilding = recovery
*
Take it with a grain of salt. Most of these articles are written by supplement company authors. They can be very demoralizing and demotivating to those who cannot afford that insane amount of supplements.
You forget, angrydog doesn't take supplements but he's easily one of the big guys here.

You didn't mislead. Some articles can be very convincing but they're just advertizing.

Lol... this is confusing..
lets put it this way.. should my diet on NON workout days be the SAME as workout days?
Lets say i will have protein shake after workout, must i have protein shake even on non workout days?
*
Haha I'm just f***in with you la bro. Basically just try to have a meal in every 3-4 hours. A protein shake can be used as a substitute for the time which you're supposed to workout at on the off day.

its not small, my calves is 20" ya atm.
its stubborn. it need more stress. and because we do work it on higher reps, most of us uses the tendon rather than the muscle itself ( pushing the weights too fast on which the tendons stores some dont know what energy) im lousy at using all this terms.
*
Anatomically it's still considered a small muscle group. Even if it's Ronnie Coleman's calves it's still categorized as such. Isn't it supposed to work the other way round? Very low reps hit the joints more right? Eg. Bodybuilders don't like 1RM/3RM deadlifts cos the muscle isn't really worked.

I was thinking of using my Fitness First membership, but I forgot to pack my gym shoes, so...I'm just going to suffice with pushups/burpees for now, I think.  Let's hit up Terry's when I get back.

Also, are you guys saying you don't like the faces I pull?  I kind of thought the black MSPaint boxes people usually put over their heads looked worse.
*
No the faces you pull are awesome. Not many people are that sporting. Dude just wear your normal shoes and train. Lol. Or go barefoot. Terry's after my guest pass at True Fitness is over. I got 2 weeks pass. Heh.

How the hell are you bollocking all these sales reps into giving you more free passes?  Get ME some.
*
How about just barefoot?

Passes? Cannot la, I would if i could. I ain't a member.

Reply you with a question. Ever seen any IFBB Pro training videos go lower than 6 reps even on "heavy sets"?

That being said you can try it. No harm in doing so. Just feel that the rep range is pretty low.

QUOTE(arekey @ Jul 2 2010, 09:34 PM)
Proper form is less important that partial.
See how branch warren just use his body to swing and smash that f***ing weight.

*
QUOTE(John91 @ Jul 2 2010, 11:35 PM)
Have you trained as many years as him and are you his size to fully understand how your body works to say that partials are more important than proper form? Darkie always says normal trainees need to have perfect form with a weight we can handle while the pros have very good form with heavy ass weight.
*
QUOTE(chicaman @ Jul 2 2010, 11:43 PM)
I beg to differ, maybe I am new and I might be wrong, do correct me if I am wrong. I think form is quite important in hitting the correct part of the muscle.

For normal BB'er simply swing heavy weight might cause injuries and might be hitting other part of the muscle instead of the intended part. Normal BB'er training experience would be lesser than those IFBB pro and they could handle higher weight than normal BB'er, they absolutely know what they are doing and understand their body better.

It's call 'drama'.
*
Actually all of you aren't wrong. Branch Warren is using relatively proper form. Notice on his pressing movements he emphasizes proper stretch at the bottom? He's found that ROM which works perfectly for him and the dramatic improvements he's made in the last few Olympias obviously show. You forget, IFBB Pros are so huge that they're actually doing 3/4th's of the full movement but it looks like just half reps to an observer.

Forget about mentioning drug assistance, etc. Even with whatever perfect combination of AAS, half assed training can only get one so far when genetics and supps all are equalized. Compare Lee Priest's rep temp to Branch Warren's. Radically different but undeniably effective for each of them.
