... + bar = 80 kgs?...

It's cool guys. C'mon.... I can't even tell how much is that from the video. It's ok to doubt but not to the point of giving him the impression his effort is being belittled.

Nah it's no worries. I know the 2 of you aren't jackasses, no harm done just that some newbies might take it the wrong way and get discouraged. Lol... heck I was a bit worried he might take my porn comment a bit too harshly. =P

im doing just 70kg DL, people already bising2 in my gym coz not wearing the belt.. but im seeing many people here doing more than that, still without belt.. how much all of u considered it safe before u are wearing belt?
*
I started wearing a belt when deadlifting above 315lbs. Ask your gym members to stfu. You don't need a belt for EVERY lift.

~dude, gotto ask u this. how do you keep up with working and gym?
i believe you're a doctor like myself (malacca hospital i assume?), but i just cant spend time for myself eating, let alone going to the gym frequently.having 12 oncalls x1/12 and studying schedule burn out all my muscles and follicles sad.gif
*
Hey bro. Not Malacca GH. Working in good old KL. I take MRP's, sure they're expensive but they help a bunch and imo, definitely worth it for people of our profession who have absolutely no time to prepare a proper meal much less have a seat and take our time eating it even if we're dedicated enough to prepare it the day before. I head straight to gym right after work, workouts take around 50 mins to an hour and 15 mins. Remember what Lee Haney (former 8 time Mr Olympia) says: Stimulate don't annihilate.
I love the sport of bodybuilding, it's not something done on the side, when we're doing our best to get that extra shake or MRP in during work or on call, we're still bodybuilding. My advantage is that I don't like to go clubbing anymore, nor have any other time consuming hobbies except the occasional computer gaming. And I'm crazy enough to still hit the gym post call (sometimes less than 2-3 hours sleep the night before), which is why preworkout booster for me are a must. I don't really recommend you hitting the gym post call if you really can't, don't be afraid to take a day off after on call, I sometimes train a bodypart every 8-10 days because of my schedule because even I can't keep training post call all the time. And believe me when you ask members like pedro who meet me regularly, I AM still getting improvements on my physique everytime he sees me.
Focus your supplementation towards recovery. Recovery is of UTMOST IMPORTANCE when you're a bodybuilding doctor. I hope that helps man. Feel free to ask anytime if you need more details.

thanks man, thanks.....
full and compact explanation!
u give me hopes now. i thought its over for me... the more i work, the more i feel my stamina is going down hill. you know how it feels when u need to run around from block to block and being battered everyday=mental exhaustion..!!
good thing you have your passions.sometime i do questioned my own judgement and feel shitty everyday~hopefully those hopes can keep me going
*
They key is not to go over 5 hours without protein. It's simple. I have breakfast, then lunch at work, then 2 hours before i know i'll train, I take an MRP shake, then train, after that dinner and a protein shake before bed. =) And if you're on call.... as usual breakfast and a pseudo pre bedtime shake around 12 plus (pseudo cos I know it's not really bedtime on call since the b**** ass nurses won't let us sleep), then an MRP or 1-2 scoops of protein blend around 2-4 am. Then your breakfast again before you start morning rounds.
If on call, I pack the post call breakfast the day before. 4 scoops of oats (use the scoop which they supply with your whey protein) and 2 scoops of protein blend into a zipper bag. In the morning mix with water and shake and drink. Lol.... my bag i bring to work is HUGE!

i bet your muscle/soft tissue knowledge is way much better any other ortho/plastic surgeon..! (u sure ure not taking ortho as your specialty soon enough?good prospect and physical exertion during operation) smile.gif)
~im sure it will cost more than a month oncall claim!!
*
Nah, I'd be a fool to think I'm better than a surgeon. It's all basics and common sense actually mate. People tend to overcomplicate things. Bodybuilding = recovery = bodybuilding. Food + rest + training + time + more rest + genetics = growth.

Don't EVER design a fixed schedule based on days eg. Monday Chest Tuesday Legs and so on. We doctors can't do that shit because of shitty on calls. We need a lot more rest days. I sometimes train a bodypart every 10 days and you'd be surprised, the extra rest makes you grow more.

And no I will not go into surgery. Lol. I'm eyeing sports med or ophthalmology. The concepts of phacoemulsification fascinates me.

Yea Im currently alternating my work out days with rest days. But sometimes the sleep is just not enough + the stress and all. I guess I have to be determined enough to solve these minor obstacles too. Thanks for the advice though  rclxms.gif
*
People underestimate the potency of rest days. They're better than any supplementation. When i tell some fellas i train a bodypart sometimes every 9-10 days they wouldn't believe.

Guys, a lot of differing opinions. All I can say is, read up on the correct techniques, then modify in a safe way. Listen to your body.

Yo fellas. Not really a progress pic of bodybuilding but more of a progress on cutting. It's a b**** but I guess it's working. A lot of you have met me before but not really in a cutting phase. It's a b****. Started just 1.5 weeks of cardio. Lost 2 inches from waist and 4 kgs of bodyfat. Still maintaining arm size of 17.6 inches or so but I'm worried that i'm gonna start losing lean muscle soon.

darklight nice 4kg cut ... can see your waist quite small .....

For me cutting is the hardest part, damn hard (not that hard for pure ecto I think) ...

I am now in the end of cutting phase. Last year I manage to score a record 56.9kg weight
This year its damn hard to get under 59kg. I hope its because my muscle mass increase for 2kg compared to last year biggrin.gif

Lastly, Im wondering how do bodybuilder get so dry ........... the finishing of a cutting phase .....  rclxub.gif
*
I didn't do anything drastic like dieting. LOL! Just.... cardio at the end of everyworkout. 15 mins. =P And not running either. I hate running. I think which is why I HAVE to continue this for long term cos the moment I stop fat will accumulate again.
