QUOTE(de.crystal @ Jun 3 2010, 11:07 PM)
hi as mentioned in my previous posts, I have been eating like a cow now a day, uncontrollable.

Realise that my tummy has become bigger.
Q1:  Is this normal since I am "bulking";
Q2:  Or it means me lacking in work out?
Q3:  only my tummy has grown bigger, but my chest is still flat.  How and what to eat to make my chest has more "meat" so that i can "shape" it by doing work out?

thanks
*
1. normal
2. since u eat a lot, its natural that u gain tummy size. coz tummy stores grows bigger faster.
3. it takes time and lots of training. no way u can make ur chest more "meat" neither shape it. wat u can do is continue healthy diet and workout hard. of coz dont forget to rest a lot

hey guys, got a question here. prolly gonna get flamed by you guys though so bear with me tongue.gif

Has anyone experienced phobia with big db's? Cos I recently started lifting the biggest sized db's in my gym and truth be told, I honestly psych myself out when holding them. Now, I'm VERY VERY sure I can lift 72 pounders myself, 3 weeks already for the record but I will still need to have a spotter or I wont even consider lifting them at all. If this keeps up I'm pretty sure my poundages would lag behind. Any way to fix this?
*
wow almost 35kg. not bad.
wat exercise r u doing?
even myself i dont lift so heavy.
haha good job. i am still stuck with 20+kg for dumbell bench presses. haiz...

i think another problem is u will think.
how the heck am i getting this weight up.
need to really learn the way to bring up the heavy dumbell.
that really is a skill on its own. =.=
i am targeting 40kg db bench press by end of this year. hahhaa... long way to go. =.=
i think by that time darklight is benching 65-70kg db. hahahaha

QUOTE(adward @ Jun 6 2010, 09:47 AM)
so wat do u means by genetic factor?
*
well, some people genetically have different shape of pecs or other body parts muscle.
some have high insertion rate on lats or biceps.
not everyone has the same type of muscle build.
so some will have different types of pecs muscle and therefore the way ur chest is formed probably differs from others.
and it may be something that u dont like but wat to do, its ur genetic.
but non the less, work hard and try ur best to get the best out of urself.

I never took whey protein before, so how does scivation chocolate taste in comparison with, say chocolate milk ? How does it taste in water ?
*
well, if i were to compare, it is not too far away.
as long u shake it well, or blend it.
as for me, i use cold water coz warm water just doesnt suit my taste.

sobs.. dark.. which workout is good for buffing? i didn't know rippetoe workout is less suitable for buffing up.. sad.gif
*
darklight is a strong believer in HVT.
so basically 10-15 reps 3-5 sets?
i normally go for 3-4 sets of 12.

yeah can... not suitable coz too lazy to spend 5 days a week?
or maybe too busy?
if u r asking whether the body is not suitable, then i really dunno wat u r talking. =.=

QUOTE(borninthe88 @ Jun 25 2010, 09:03 PM)
Hey guys, i've got a question here. my current job work load is kinda harsh, and prevents me from having time (or the mental focus) to work out on weekdays.

im free to work out on weekends though. so im wondering wat kind of workout programs should i follow? i googled about weekend warrior training and one article suggested push-pull work outs, ie: bench press, overhead press, calf raises on saturdays. then squats, deadlifts and rows on sundays.

i was thinking of doing it like this:
saturday: squat, bench press, and side/rear delt raises.
sunday: deadlift, bent over rows, shrugs, and overhead presses
my aim was separate squats and deadlifts to two different days. is this any good?

my goal is to gain strength and mass, not really into getting ripped yet..
*
i dont see any problem with this.
but just wondering if u have enough energy to pull through those both days.
if u go at it 100% full blast on sat, sun u might not have enough energy for deadlift especially.

alright, thanks! yeah..im also worried about the sunday work out, haha. i'll probably rotate these two, like this week start with squats etc, next week start it with deadlifts. or can the other seniors recommend some other type of routine?  hmm.gif
*
if u think u can do it, then by all means, go ahead.
but if u cant, then rotate each week lor. =.=
hahaha... other type of routine? hmmm...
