Hi magnum,

U'll needa do port forwarding if u're using a router/bridge modem

Try finding the details on http://www.portforward.com smile.gif

NeoMule 4.20a is out. With ISP Traversal v3 and NAT Traversal! Actually is already a couple days ago, a bit delay I'm not post it here coz I prepare for the guide. NAT Traversal is a new feature from the Neo devs. With NAT-T enable, LowID users are connect-able with others LowID users, that mean they can downloading from each others.

For download, you can use this link:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/neomule/Neo_Mule_v4.20a_bin.zip?download
OR:

ISP Traversal v3 Guide update: 06/08/2006.
Enjoy if you like it.

@magnum
No problem, you can change the ports number. If you're using a router, or have any firewall software install, no matter what ports number you have changed, you need to do port forwarding. Same as BitTorrent client. Just follow the guide in the link that skma provide. First step, what you need to do is to get a HighID in eMule.

IMO, I think have both BitTorrent and eMule running at the same time is not really good. Just my suggestion, I never use a BitTorrent client before.. may some BitTorrent expert can help you out.

Hmm, i see improvement in eMule, both mod and the official client.

Hopefully, improvement would be as good as Bittorrent with Protocol Encryption to bypass TMnut traffic shaping.

Without eMule, can't download Asian media files.

I have the same result too, TypeR.. atleast is not turtle speed 0Kb anymore, here at Gombak, bt.5. My friends living at Sri Gombak have improvement too. I think is not coz of the encryption feature, encryption in Neo only usable when both side support it. So what I guess is TMnut has re-open the "gate" for now? 1, TMnut has upgrade their facilities at some certain area.. 2, They testing something new again.. 3, Something wrong with their throttling system, and off course their "staff" don't know how to solve it.. Just my guessing, don't take too serious. Nothing is impossible from our beloved TMnut. yawn.gif

How bout the other state? skma at PG, Ipoh, JB, east SB & SRW?? anyone?

Ipoh: Upload throttled by 8:30 am and dethrottled around 2-3 am. As for download speed, averaging around 5-10kb/s most of the day and rises to 70-80kb/s from 2 am (might be earlier) to 8:30 am.

Do port forward if you have an additional firewall in your PC. Reinstall again if you wish to get default port (d only way). For me, I dislike firewall such thing and port forward. laugh.gif

Very sorry bout that, please switch back to ED2K Lite or any you think is better at the moment. But I still expect some good news from you guys, hope TMnut can upgrade their facilities soon. unsure.gif

kenzai, you using 4.20 or 4.20a?
Anyway, I don't have error here, with Win2K, Avast Antivirus and Sygate Firewall.

EDIT:
Sorry edit again.. Try don't connect to KAD. I heard that a new virus it will crash your XP system through the svchost.exe, could it be related? Please check.

EDIT:
kenzai, if the same error still occurred, please switch back to the older version of 4.11 or 4.12 (I would suggest 4.11) OR any you think is better at the moment. Any new release I'll leave a msg here, OR you can visit the forum.

the slowness is due to the new edonkey software, it's getting worst.
i still use overnet, just plain overnet and i can get maximun speed, 60Kb for 66 package, tmnet doesnt throttle the line.

eMule problem from Ipoh (Ipoh Garden Area)

# report 2

from 11am onwards my speed getting sickenening with speed dropping back 1.0 kbps and then hit back 0 and start again zzz (yup with the traversal on the speed reach 1kbps rather than nothing at all with plain emule) but still sickening lol =D

and then starting from 8:30pm speed go back up again.. slowing reaching over 10-20kbps.. but the speed also sickening.. yup it reach around 20kbps but not for long.. lol.. sudden drop back to 1-4kbps then up again then drop and a few files is suddenly at 0kbps.. zzz.. (while i'm typing this i'm cursing TMnut vmad.gif for giving us user so many trouble to guess and bypass their troublesome THROTTLING thing or watever..) vmad.gif mad.gif vmad.gif mad.gif vmad.gif

i was wondering if the traversal really working.. cuz i heard someone from Ipoh said there is this range of time that a non-traversal eMule will work..

Kenzai, there's some IMPORTANT NOTES I've write in the guide bout ISP Traversal: ISP Traversal usable ONLY when both side support it (as I think is the same rules for NAT Traversal).

Your situation is still under throttled. Like me before this the only "high-speed" time was 3am till 8am, after that is dead-end totally kosong; OR if lucky I connect to a ISP-T enable client, I get my speed back, even in daytime.

IF you want to know ISP-T really working or not, I would suggest you to download the testfile (I've add the ed2k link into guide), and if can.. download in daytime as the throttling period (where I think this is the best time to make a traversal test), to see ISP-T izzit effective.

Regards
