Yes skma. For icon you'll see something like this (clients01.gif), where first is a Neo client, second a Neo with LowID, third a plain Official client, last a Sion client. When communicate through ISP Traversal, you will see some "orange-yellow bar" at the left bottom corner of the mule icon.

In Client Details, you'll see something like this (clients02.gif), under Protocol Extensions (I've mark in blue color), it will show ISP-T and NAT-T supported or not supported, and which encrypted AUX port you're communicate with your client.

Attachment removed.

guys...i just re-installed my emule after couple of months of re-formatting my whole PC coz of upgrade.

i find it kinda...i dunno how to explain it.

previously...i just click the Connect button and it'll automatically connect to its whatever server it wants.

now...it doesn't seems to work that way anymore.

in the Log tab, it comes out this error message:

8/23/2006 10:03:18 AM: No valid servers to connect in server list found

anyway...after i click here and there...i finally able to connect to a server. however, it doesn't able to search for any Audio files like it used to be.

Help? plss...

oh yeah...it now also says i do not have a valid list of server in my addresses list.
how to provide it wif a valid list of servers?

@karwaidotnet

here's a fix for that

1. Go to \Program Files\eMule\config and put these in staticservers.dat:

140.123.108.139:7654,0,TLF
62.241.53.2:4242,1,DonkeyServer No1
62.241.53.16:4242,1,DonkeyServer No2
193.138.221.213:4242,0,### SauGeileGirls ###
62.241.53.17:4242,1,DonkeyServer No3
62.241.53.4:4242,0,ProbenPrinz.de
194.213.0.20:3306,0,ByteDevils

2. Run emule and open Options -> Servers, disable all updates, then check "Connnect to static servers only"

3. update your servers through http://corpo.free.fr/server.met

@CherylDarryl
Benefit? mean faedah atau kebaikan?
erm.. if you're talking bout faedah, you won't get any "extra high-speed" with protocol encryption, everything is still the same, just the eMule protocol is encrypted. I don't know you kena throttled by TMnet or not, or else you can see the difference.

Bout kebaikan, first let's read some introduction:
- - - - - - - - - - - -
QUOTE: Protocol Obfuscation is a feature which causes eMule to obfuscate or "hide" its protocol when communicating with other clients or servers. Without obfuscation, each eMule communication has a given structure which can be easily recognized and idenitfied as an eMule packet by any observer. If this feature is turned on, the whole eMule communication appears like random data on the first look and an automatic identification is no longer easily possible. This helps against situations where the eMule Protocol is unjustly discriminated or even completly blocked from a network by identifying its packets. :QUOTE

As you can see, when Protocol Obfuscation (protocol encryption) is turned on, ISP es: TMnet (actually there's only one), won't know/idenitfied it as a eMule packet. On the other hand, we're bypassing their throttling system. Like Skype with protocol encryption, it prevents man-in-the-middle attack. BUT, of course there's always a way to decrypt. Hell I know who want to listen what you're chit-chating with your friends, and the same applies to eMule's Protocol Obfuscation too. Is just a matter of time, IF TMnet want to (why don't they spent the money to upgrade their facilities? bandwidth? phone line?).
- - - - - - - - - - - -
QUOTE: It is however important to note that Obfuscation is not intended to do: It will not increase your anonymity, it will not make you "invisible" in any way and it will also not protect you effective against eavesdroppers. :QUOTE

Besides ISP, IF someone intend to (RIAA, MPAA, POLISDIRAJAMALAYSIA.. or anyone in your queue waiting list), they can easilly know what you're downloading, and of course with your IP together. Protocol Obfuscation will not increase your anonymity. IF they want to.
- - - - - - - - - - - -
QUOTE: Also if your network admin has a good legal reason to block eMule (for example a restircted company network), bypassing it may cause you other unwanted consequnces. :QUOTE

My advice for UNI student or in Office, please stop, if you don't have the permission to use it.

DOC: Protocol Obfuscation
- - - - - - - - - - - -
I hope the information helps.
If you found anything wrong, or Fariz, can please correct me. smile.gif

laugh.gif You're welcome. "Technically" I also don't know how PO works, maybe you can ask a programming or networking expert, they might give you a better answer. To avoid the missunderstanding, Protocol Obfuscation is not ISP Traversal. Very sad, they both are not compatible.. Whatever, is still a great news for everyone. Soon, the officials will make the final release, so there will be more users to use it.

How bout the others? l0k0, skma, kenzai82, any feedback? Or already gone back to normal? rolleyes.gif

Anyway, for anyone interested to make a test (0.47b only), check spoiler for link.

Sad, sad..

My emule speed is still 'STEADY' with around 3-4kb/s in the daytime. Occasional speed bursts (up to 40-50kb/s) in the early morning hours.

Guess I 'll have to wait for more people with the same emule client to work eh? tongue.gif

How could this happened?
Please use eMule 0.47b, download link provide by Fariz. It is much easier to configure than Neomule. Sorry, I think I need to remove my sig..

EDIT: ISP Traversal Guide has no longer related (atleast for now), anyway thanx for reading. rolleyes.gif

EDIT: To avoid the question again, ISP Traversal is not Protocol Obfuscation. Please use Official eMule 0.47b with Protocol Obfuscation everyone. You can get the PO settings under options>security>protocol obfuscation.
