Yeah, thats a bummer, but good thing that it seems to be quite good in the bass department. Plus the opamps is changable if i dont like the stock sound

Edge? yuheng mentioned that its very good with beyers, not sure with sennheisers. Will try some amps that suits my budget

Your taste in music might not be the same as others. That said, I am certainly comfortable with my stock D1 and 650+Symphonica+AT501CS combo now and that will have to do for now until I gather more fund in the future. Not so with stock D1 and stock 650 though.. hehe.

My bro just told me amazon france have discount for hd650. Only about rm1050 after conversion.. Very tempted to ask him to get it for me now...

Its a risk if you are willing to take but its very cheap for that price.

to clear some confusion, the maverick D1 is older version of the A1 and mine is modded and recable with silver 7n OCC cable/cryo part hifi fuse and opamps as well
maybe that why the characteristic is different from other mavericks since the highs r more opened and more faster/depth soundsignature when u heard it with guys during that gathering

I'm quite willing to take it, along with the risks... But my wallet is not.. Coz If I take it, I'll prabably go for the symphonica cable right away as well... Haha.. I'm having my brother check out if there's any VAT involved as he's in UK, and how much is postage to send it back to Malaysia. Also, dunno if Malaysia customs will tax or not. I'm thinking of asking him to open the package and send it here as if it's used to avoid tax.

ah, VAT will be around 2.5-5% if not mistaken. Postage is going to kill you man, as you need to buy insurance for your package. Certainly not going to be cheap.

If you wanna have it delivered here i advise you to use DHL or UPS service. For me 650 is kinda fragile. Tax is probably luck but i believed most of us here kena tax.

Yah postage is a bigger problem. Otherwise I can wait for him to bring it back to Malaysia, sometime summer 2011...

15% tax for audio stuff (from the value you declare) And i dont think you are going to under declare it as the amount insured will be the amount declared. Unless you dont want to get insurance and risk a HD650 lost in transit

Bulk you can if you can provide a good price. Im sure there are a few people here eager to buy a HD650.
