What I heard from him is that he's selling a brand new one which his brother will bring back from uk. He quoted rm 1400, but no local warranty price wise, it's very competitive

Quite a good bargain i would say for a almost brand new unit with local warranty. Haha, either getting an amp or the symphonica cable, cant afford both. But logically i should get an amp first right? Played straight out from my ipod nano it sounded good, but now wow'ing to my ears yet Burn in period plays its part too i guess. Sounded quite similiar to my previous IE8 - the bass, haha.

Hehe...like last time I'm also got advice from them too(poison advice )...if u want to boost up your hd650 to maximum...u should afford that cable ,and then choose the right amp,right plug,right source... ...HD650 is a hunger that we need to spend much to feed it

Haha, how i wish i could drive my HD650 to the max. Sadly budget is an issue. I got other things to fund. Now i think of it, its kinda scary to own a HD650. Should have stayed with my philips headphone and be happy with it

do not underestimate the power of hippo amp muahaha...
it has good mids and bass..
u will really be impressed how hd650 + symphonica can go with just hippo amp.
or try the go-vibe single.. not as powerful as ppk, but still similar.
i would suggest ppk if u can afford it.
or.. diy custom amp..

if it involve ipod. then i put in a hippo amp to push it. because i need an amp in between as volume control.

i quite seldom poison ppl with ppk or lavry that i have. unless they had already owned symphonica and i wanna show them the real potential.

ppk seems a good choice for me as i like warm sound signature more. But its abit pricey for an amp only without a DAC for me, on a tight budget akabane's amp is over budget for me. Thinking of getting a Maverick D1 as i can use it for my speakers as well.

is the D1 warm sounding? I think i read somewhere its warm type. All i need is to have a warm and more bassy amp. burning in my HD650 for few days already, cant wait for it to hit like 1k hours, haha

It's more towards neutral warm + a bit harsh on high on some songs.
