Better invest on a dac amp 1st then
It sounds boring without a good amp

Aune is around 650-700
Schiit stack is around 1k
Depends what sound you were looking for
Schiit stack has a much neutral signature while aune has a more smooth and easy going sound
However if you still want to go for the schiit stack but with the smooth easy going sound, try switch out magni with a vali. But remember tube amp needs a startup time

Hmm... I found these kind of player is confussing because too many around in the market with all fancy specification, which I have no idea how they sound wiht my HD650...

Thus I was looking at dominate choice or the popular one, and thought Fiio is the popular one... tongue.gif

Aune T1 would be more economical and also you can tube roll it for better sound that suits to your liking.

Different people have different taste in sound
fiio amps are great portable cost effective solution.
Aune t1 was one of the best budget all in one dac amp desktop system.
In the end, if you could audition it yourself do try it out.

Any website with any list to sort the players based on budget?

For Fiio X5, how good or how bad in your opinions?

Umm~u looking for a DAP or Amp?
Fiio X5 is a Digital Audio Player (DAP) and HD650 with a proper Amp it would shines better. I would also give Aune T1 my vote too. A splendid performance for its price.

As of now, just a DAP that strong enough to avoid an amp. I read that X5 is pretty powerful by itself in the analog output cool2.gif

I heard my friend's Seinnheiser HD25 (with some Adidas collaboration) and those headphones were awesome

He told me he got those headphones awhile back and there might be newer models

Does anyone have anything to recommend from Seinnheiser which is similar to the HD25 or better?

Also, roughly how much is it? The reason I'm asking is because I'm in Australia at the moment and wondering to get here or wait to go back Malaysia only buy..

Thank you so much in advance for the advises, bros.

1. check the impedance figures

2. and get a proper desktop amp, the HD650 is not designed for portability, so if you are heading the DAP direction you might lose a quite fair bit of moolah.

hell DAPs are not cheap, they cost as much as a decent amp, you can get a not too bad desktop amp with a DAC for their asking price

you are going the wrong direction mate

x5 is good but not great, you can try buying an external amp later on.

hd25 retails around rm1k in malaysia.
The main reason i sold off the hd25 was the sibilant treble, i cannot handle it. Too piercing
Try the momentum, it retails for 969 now.

Got few variations of Momentum.
Version 1 have both the on-ear and over-ear.

Version 2 have over-ear wired, over-ear wireless with noise cancelling, on-ear.

I believed the priced of Version 1 have dropped a lot after the launched of V2

How about getting a portable DAC amp instead? Any recommendation?

same

GET A PROPER DESKTOP AMP

period

HD650 is very very very particular with its amps, you can power it with some small ones, but its russian roulette, even if the impedance matches. i have 2 destop systems, 1 portable, even the desktop DAC/AMP which is twice the size of my portable unit cannot power the HD650 to its full potential.

also considering that HD650 never sounds good portable, requires a cable change, disturbs people,

you ARE going to waste a lot of money that way.

so, with that same amount of money try to hunt for a good desktop unit,
