QUOTE(golbeza @ Jan 28 2012, 11:18 AM) guys, if i spray flat top coat on clear parts, wat kinda effects will it take? i can't find any picture reference also btw, which one is in correct order? panel lining > decal >topcoat? decal > topcoat > panel lining? frosty effect bro.. already try it myself on clear part before... want less frosty and more transparency surface can use semigloss/gloss top coat usually i use panel lining > decals > top coat panel lining after top coat would be a bad idea same goes to putting decal This post has been edited by nazrul90: Jan 30 2012, 04:12 AM |

QUOTE(Khai62 @ Apr 13 2012, 07:09 PM) I was thinking on making a smooth paint on my gundam but since industrial spray paint is not smooth enough for my liking is there any steps to make it happen other than dip in warm water ? what do you mean by not smooth enough?QUOTE(daydreaming @ Apr 13 2012, 08:28 PM) not bad wor the paint. 30cm should be fine.. question again.....how far do u normally spray the top coat? the distance btw the spray and the gundam. and how do u hold it :T i used hand. lol and just realized its poisonous =_= by the way, use "sweep" method when spraying to make sure good surface and not too thick QUOTE(derpyheart @ Apr 14 2012, 12:32 AM) Since we're in the topic of topcoating..... I was wandering does topcoat (any brand) will damage decals? Doesn't matter whether is dry or water slide. Is there any effect on topcoating if apply wrong on decals? top coat doesnt damage the decal... however i advise to use Mr Mark Setter for decal to stick better on kit |

QUOTE(chinyen @ Apr 25 2012, 05:58 PM) i'm a sandpaper supplier. just wondering anyone would go n buy sandpaper at this price. i believe you mean grid type? the higher grid one less scratch and low one more rough surface? cant simply buy as there are two types, one will scratch the surface, another one wont mind you, i using 1000 grid wet sandpaper and so far the quality quite good.. the price i bought only RM0.90 per piece maybe Tamiya one is long lasting? but i sure not many people will buy it because of the price This post has been edited by nazrul90: Apr 25 2012, 06:07 PM |
