what type of super glue should i use?
before this i used the elephant brand(?) and it was horrible.
can only use once cuz the glue dried inside the nozzel sweat.gif

i recommend use cement cause it stick better than normal glue..
but take long time to make plastic stick together.. it have less white stain too

can get at hobby shop for only RM15

my plastic cement doesn't seem to be better than super glue, it dry slow even after i left for for few days it doesn't stick nicely, maybe my way of apply it is wrong?

but plastic cement is more easy to handle, that's for sure
orce impulse), so i dont think those surface will need to apply top coat before sticking the decal
*
try put cement on both side...
slowly press the part together.. and wait about 12-24 hours to dry and then you done..
you can sand the excess cement after it dry

i dont have problem yet while cement the part...

go for coarse. for normal color besides black, the effect is quite ok ady.

if the part is black or if u want really shiny one, get a fine too.

For hardcore mirror finish, get a finish, and also a modeling wax.
*
got coarse type?
thanks, i will take that since i dont like too much gloss

Actually even when u compound with Tamiya coarse, n do it right, it is already quite glossy. In fact more glossy than many kits that i saw out there who spray with one layer of gloss top coat.....

or u r just hink of using compound to get rid of minor scratches, then top coat with flat or semi gloss.....
*
one question: if i polish my silver chrome painted part with finish compound, will it have same shining effect like silver-mirror coating?

urm.. Zippo fluid won't work on lacquer paint mate. that's why people use it for enamel wash. because it attacks enamel paint, but not lacquer paint.

also, i think its very ill advised to go china brand. if you take and burn, maybe no difference, but if you take for modelling, better to stick to zippo brand. i mean, difference only rm4 mah..

issit? then lucky i dont buy it yet.. thanks for helping!

*
better use spray can.. coz hand painting have bad brush stroke if you dont use retarder
no need to buy top coat.. the color already have glossy effect unless you buy flat colour

Hi guys. I'm actually kinda new on this painting and glossing for Gundam Kits. Would like to ask what are these items actually use for and how to apply?

Mr. Super Clear Flat 170ml B-514
Mr. Super Clear Glossy 170ml B-513
Mr. Super Clear Semi Glossy 170ml B-516

Also, 3M SoftBack Sanding Sponge SuperFine1000/UltraFine1200/MicroFine1500
*
top coat use as finishing coat layer... make your gunpla kit look good in glossy or flat surface

while sanding sponge is just a normal sandpaper in sponge form

then when spray i need cut all parts and put on newspaper? i need find some space too for spray ^^''
need spray under sunlight?

then spray can how much estimate? since i just want to do on metal slug kit with magenta/pink XD
spray 1 layer?
then when dry use tamiya chrome for paint?

totally no experience on this...the only spray experience is spray minyak nyamuk in room.
*
buy metallic color since it look good on your MS tank

based on my experience, you need to buy and apply primer spray or the paint may chipped off
can try use on unused runner to try out.. i also newbie in spray colour so cannot help you much sweat.gif

my way
primer> silver >any metallic color

got people did it... can ask him for assistance

Hi guys, i'm new to gunpla so i would nid sum advise. Is dere any other markers dat can be used besides gundam markers which are easily available in any bookstores such as MPH or Popular? Btw, i've studied sum forums which states dat 0.5mm mechanical pencils can also be used for panel lining bt will it b shiny?
*
yes, mechanical pencil is good but its not very effective as the colour not too deep
how about try use 0.2mm Artline 220 pen? it is a great alternative to replace that expensive gundam lining pen

Thanks for the info. So would be nice to use this coating on the pre-coloured kit?
*
can use but make sure you warm the spray can before use to avoid whitish effect because of frosting
i recommend use flat coat to make a good appearance to your kit icon_rolleyes.gif
