seniors.. usually after painting, we apply top coat for each pieces separately or assemble the kit first n then top coat the whole figure?

anyone can share hand painted kit here?

if we use spray can like nippon n anchor brand....if we put  primer....will the spray react wif the primer?

there are a few types of putty, but basic putty is essentially used for filling holes, and also used to add texture to parts..

other types like poly putty and epoxy putty are more suitable for scratch building and sculpting

you can try look at mgs2u for either epoxy putty, or poly putty. don't remember the pricing already... not cheap tho if i remember correctly..

p/s. epoxy putty is a very hard putty.. will require you to sand alot to get to desired shape. if you are the type who hates sanding their kit, then i'd say you'll hate sanding epoxy..

Asked in gunpla thread but no answer, so I'll ask here.
How do you get water decals to bend around sharp corners? They pop back up every time. Or maybe I'm leaving them in the water too long, and the glue is already dissolved?

Also, where around KL can you get a can of spray on Flat top coat? Asked the other day at Gamers Arena in BTS, they're sold out.

Gaia Color Flat Clear is the bottle type right? It's not meant to be hand painted, it's meant to be airbrushed...
Hand painting will not give you a nice result...

Do you guys spray or paint your diecasts and what type of spray or paint do you use?

I'm actually trying to add some details to my 1:18 diecast car but don't know how to start.

If it makes a difference here's what I want my diecast to look like after detailing.

.. I'm laughing at myself coz this happens to me every time, coz I use the cheapo masking tape. i always do some touch up on the bleeding... Currently looking for masking liquid in PG. I have the money now...

guys i want to ask....whats the different between model kit cement and normal elephant glue that we used? Tamiya or Gunze brand better?

We use cement to cover seam lines and sand?

At the end of the day, you need to consider which one more economical.
How much would be the cost of compressed gas?Is it readily available?How long my hobbies gonna last?
These are the things you need to consider. If were talking term, i don't think these is a good idea. Better
invest on a good AB/compressor imho.
