QUOTE(PCcrazy @ Apr 14 2005, 11:10 PM) @ antonio_zth mine can run 270...cbbid 0504...but no more than that...already hitting the wall...trying to knock it down... its just my luck that i got a good processor..i think urs r capable of pulling at least 2.3 Ghz based on my experience on CBBID year 05.. p/s: sorry for that HD problem--have no idea u r running on SATA 1 & 2 when u should have chosen 3 & 4.. @De_Cruelz 2.8 Ghz at 1.6 is nice man...bring some more results.the safe vcore for watercooling is around 1.85v i guess..show us the potential of that caa2c under watercooled system. U go man.. btw...what's with SATA 1&2 and 3&4...didnt came across that...what's the prob??? This post has been edited by remysix: Apr 14 2005, 11:19 PM |

yup...the cpu's mem controller is the culprit here...it's the 'wall' most people would referred to...the wall made by this controller...

QUOTE(PCcrazy @ Apr 15 2005, 08:45 PM) Some toughts to share with u guys: actually i second to that...it's only when people doing oc and said "my system is stable running at 3.5G"...they need some method to prove it to others...and the well accepted method is by using this P95...for personal use...stability should be based on what u r using la...Actually this is taken from XS forum----by oc guru Charlie... but I think P95 is useless. If a rig can do everything that it's required to do, it's STABLE. If you run a network of college 'puters researching the DNA sequence, that's ONE definition of stability, if yuo play doom3 that's another definition of stability. From dictionary el-Charlie: Stability= The ability to run reliably during a required task. In fact, if all you do is stare at the desktop, a suicide screenshot IS 100% stable. If you're benching sPi, a completed run IS 100% stable. True to certain extent... why do u need a stable pc for science calculation when u only need it for gaming and do some works such as AutoCad and some video encoding? So for those who always But its always good to know that ur system is prime stable though.. |

hahaha...i dont mean ur stock cooling is not good coz there are people using stock cooling and oc but still managed to get around 50c if not lower than that...that's why i said not normal la...from where that u get the reading...what kind of thermal paste or something u used...if u read the thread, first time using xp120...i got 80c temp at full load...idle just like yours...finally i found out that my hsf is not properly installed...that time i've already bukak and pasang for 3 times...when finally know the problem...i got it A OK...now doing 30c idle...oc to 240 wif mem@2336...if 270 as my sig...temp goes up to 35-37...full load never exceed 50c...try to re-check ur installation la...

QUOTE(jslut @ Apr 20 2005, 07:19 AM) guys i have a problem and i need some opinions. currently i'm at 8*300 vcore 1.678V vdimm 3.0V. woooo...at this rate u might end up frying your proc...but sorry bro...have no idea la...have u tried the default setting and see if any stability issue...at first at the settings above i could get stable at 1.65V. then after a few weeks my system got unstable to the point where my programs were terminated and get random reboots. so i increased my vcore a notch then everything was fine. now yesterday it acted up again, getting crashes and random reboots. so now i'm forced to raise the vcore another notch... i wonder wat's wrong?? any of u guys have encountered this kind of problem?? |

QUOTE(e-jump @ Apr 26 2005, 09:20 AM) guys.. i got a situation here that would depends on ur current temp i guess...if on stock, the temp is damn hi, then changing it to wc/better hsf might give some result...but i dont think it's gonna be that huge improvement...at x9, u got 2700 and at x8 u got 2720...not much diff for the proc speed...if i use multi 9, my max htt is 298~300 but when multi 8, i can go up to 340.. both using 1.6v vcore [max on mobo] + 0.05v from VID in clockgen if i were to switch stock cooling to better hsf/wC, is there any possibilities i can get higher htt on multi 9? |
