This tea is not as strong as Year of Tiger, but it cost more too. I bought it for the sake of buying it as zodiac series collection

Tea business nowadays are not profitable enough to sustain the operational cost. Another tea shop I know also downsizing. Tea-Li also shutting down its branch and so I predict more will be closing down soon.
Only those shops that got aged tea and quality teapots will survive.

According to Tea-li, they say bulk order has become very much less compared to the past few years. They have to downsize and start looking into supplying tea to restaurants.

I think it is logical. Past years buyers have been buying a lot. Now is their waiting time for their stock to age. Storage of theirs could have become limited.

Therefore, less buying = less sale = cannot sustain

Some has said that JDX itself couldn't really sustain on sale of their puerh tea (in the shop) alone. They have good sale on the tea van biz and also their hamper wrapping festive season.

Nowadays not many people will buy new tea and store them compare previously as it can't fetch good prices with the now depressed puer market. You can get a 2006 tea with the same price as the 2010 production. If I am the buyer I will get the 06 version.

If JDX is to close their shop business, I really hope they will have lelong sale tongue.gif

Ti Lo Han - RM13

Expo price is not really cheap for some shop. Eg. Yong Eng Siang booth chop head price to non regulars.
