Since the new line of MBPs have the same size and shape with the old one, I guess it could still fit in the old adapter just watch out for the voltage I guess.. If no difference then shouldnt be a problem switching..

@izact Apparently there isnt a step by step guide after unboxing your macbook but the first thing you should do is to do battery calibration for your first time charge then you could go install all those softwares that you need... You can look through the pinned threads or read previous pages from this thread for battery calibration not too many pages backwards =D

@linuxskate Why do you think your logic board is dead? What verion is your MBP?

Added on April 26, 2010, 12:45 pmYea software update is a must do first =D and gratz on your new MBP.. Share some pictures here =D

Maybe a little bit too much on your internet browsers with so many tabs and photoshop... ALl those are memory and processor hungry right? Need other senior members to clarify.. If for normal desktop not mac, definitely will start to see some slowdown with those applications used..

I dont shut down my mac unless im sleeping at night =D

I dont think it can get till that hot till it will burn you or cause injuries... Its Apple and so far I never read any heat issues for the new MBPs... Im sure it will be a good buy as many people wants to own a 17" i7 MBP man...

Haha.. No one wants to claim warranty if possible.. =) But all electronic gagdets are not perfect and maybe some are a little bit defected units after some time but definitely a small percentage as QC definitely is strict and wouldnt allow defected unit to pass through shipping..

@kernkraft400 If im not mistaken there are no cosmetic difference other than the magnetic adapter for the power supply... As I bought the casing from speck fits the old and the new one...

@izact So far i know only those who runs bootcamp will want to have a partition... Im also not that sure.. Need seniors to give some feedback =)

Most probably I will only have 2 partitions, 1 for Mac OSX and another for my Windows 7... Should be more than enough.. I will then backup my files in my external HDD =D
