As the link that wiraone post, apple came out with a new technology for the current refreshed MBP line and it is still possible to plug it in 24/7.. Read up more cause I dont have time to really read in detail.. At work =(

Should be fine if according to the apple website as they say plugging and unplugging a few times counted as only 1 charge...

@milky Yeap as what everyone is saying that apple store give you the education discount which is very good because there is a Rm300 discount for the MBPs and other products (not sure how much discount).

But not to forget that if you wouldnt mind the RM300, you could go to those retailers (machines,epicentre,mac city) for 0% installment for certain Credit cards... So its up to you.. Ppl prefer ordering online to skip those jam packed shopping malls and also you can customize in your own comfort at home and wait till they ring your bell =D

Of course even ordering online which I explained many times you still be able to get the education discount and also certain credit card offers 0% installment if you call them but with a certain % of one time deal handling fee...

So its up to you to choose =D Just consider the points i give above and you should be able to make decision...

@Hanxz Haha.. your schedule is same as mine initally... Another 3 more working days and you should get yours =D or maybe earlier depends on how hardworking DHL is during the weekends =D

Btw anyone of you facing a problem where you couldnt tap the touchpad for click? I tried tapping my touchpad to close a window but it wouldnt respond. Only when i press the touchpad down like normal button only the window closed... It seems the the tapping wont work..

Is there any problem or is it a setting?

Haha yea found it already... LOL... Ok need to explore more haha... Wont be using much of the trackpad unless im on the go as I still prefer mouse =D

Wow more and more ppl placing their orders on the new MBPs =D... Good to hear that more ppl are going to join the mac club and make it grow.. Haha.. So far never really had time to play with mine yet.. Just updated all my softwares and now following the instructions on how to charge my battery on 1st usage =)

Yea I doubt the macbook alu casing can fit to the macbook white.. But I do know is that you could change the keyboard keys from white to black keys just like the macbook 13" alu...

No worries you will get it soon enough =D.... Worth the waiting i must say as the feelings is magnificient when you unbox the macbook..

Oh what happened.. After restart is it back to normal? Maybe the macbook didnt really get warm up yet... So shouldnt be a problem just a small hiccup... Or it may due to your office network that made it hang... You can try again to connect to the network and see if it reoccurs again..

@zeeker87 Hmm so next time better advice ppl who want to order education discount to be a real student or some relative is a student before using the discount if not next time apple will be more strict on their education discount price..

Im not sure about the old gen but I feel that its smooth already... =D maybe after using for some time it will wear and smoothen it haha.. But im sure many ppl will use something to protect it to wear out..

many ppl are backing up and transferring to their new mac while I couldnt transfer as I dont have any mac previously.. need to wait my new HDD, format then only can transfer =(

Yeap they will call... They called me 1 hour before they deliver the MBP to me... Called me at 8.30am and reached my doorstep at 9.30am =D

Shouldnt be a problem... Where are u staying btw? Is it somewhere nearby your housing area? Cause mine was quite near DHL branch so thats why they send to me first...

@starccs Oh I dont have any external HDD now actually so I have already ordered a new one and waiting for it to arrive.. Wouldnt want to transfer my whole load of files using my 4GB pen drive =P..

@mememe12 Is it true that if you transfer through LAN port its compatible? I have a router with 4 LAN ports.. maybe could set it up and see its doable or not... Anyone know the settings to enable data transfer through LAN ports? Never actually tried before to transfer data through LAN ports
