QUOTE(leng2 @ Apr 23 2010, 12:51 AM) yeah i did... i can see the blinking dots when sliding my fingah across the tab... but nothing happen... Install this: Lenovo SlideNav (File name: IN8STW01WW6.exe). Note: You cannot find it in Drive D but you can download it from Lenovo's support website. After installing (it's actually only copying the files to c:\Drivers) go to c:\Drivers\Lenovo SlideNav\Installation and run Installation.exe Then go to c:\Drivers\Lenovo SlideNav\x64 and run SlidebarConfig.exe. If all goes well you should be able to use the slidenav again. Hope this helps This post has been edited by boon21: Apr 23 2010, 07:53 PM

hi guys i have a question i want to create another partition from C by shrinking c in Disk management tool and using that space to make another partion, my question will that effect the recovery key. i know this question was raised before and answered by jotaro 12 but he mentioned using Linux, i don't think u need Linux to do it since windows can.

It should not affect the os recovery partition. However, to play safe, clone your os recovery partition before you resize & create a new partition.

The answer is no effect for the recovery key and no again for creating a new primary partition because you already have System Reserved, C: and Recovery partition which already fill up the max 3 primary partitions in 1 HDD. The only way would be re-assign the Extended D: Lenovo partition after you shrinked your C:. If you still don't understand... better start to learn more on file system for Vista/7.

again ty. Added on April 24, 2010, 12:33 amI'm sorry if you think I'm giving you a hard time. I'm just a straight forward guy where I'm not used to explain/elaborate why something can't be done. I've did what you wanna do. The other solution would be extend your system reserved partition to act as your data partition like a bro here stated before. QUOTE(Izwan898 @ Apr 24 2010, 12:59 AM) Any comments on the keyboard? I'm still learning to use it till today bcoz I'm used to my old Dell 15" laptop and the spacing between each key is slightly different from what I've been accommodate for 5+ years. The keyboard doesn't flex though(for me), but it depends on case by case.

No hard feelings , and your right. i had to try it out to be convinced. it turns out that after getting the extra space from shrinking you cant create a 4th partition, at the same time the D partition cant be extended using the space just created ( the option isn't available). just needed to mention it for others who are curious as me. In actual fact it will affect the function of the OKR (One Key Recovery). It is a known problem across multiple Lenovo notebooks that OKR will only function if the size of your system partition (drive C) remains intact. If you resize it then OKR will not work and you'll have one useless button on your notebook. There's a whole topic on OKR and partitions on the official Lenovo forums if you're interested to read more about it.

Do not ask "how come". This applies to Dell/Acer/Asus/Toshiba/Lenovo/Fujitsu/you name it. Well, they just "don't care". They only care and make sure the product is working fine as per factory setting. I don't understand why OKR can't work after creation of new partition. It's a software & bios issue (if the recovery command is programmed into BIOS). Acer "Alt+F10" can work just fine. This post has been edited by ALeUNe: Apr 24 2010, 11:26 AM
