I don't have the Nitecore EZ123 but I've tried it before. Personally, I would go for the Mini 123, I think it's also because it's a very simple light, easy to clean and maintain as well. The beam profile from the Mini 123 is also very nice and floody, clean and smooth. The efficiency for this light even with PWM is very good. However, it is a twisty light, 3-Stage=Low/Med/High, it has 4 hidden blinking modes which you can easily activate.
If you decide to get it, I will recommend to clean the threads and re-lube it. I also find the twisty movement can be too smooth sometimes (but maybe cause I'm using krytox).
There are couple of 123 clicky options from our local dealers:
Quark 123 Tactical/Regular (with or without clip) - Neutral white pre-order should be opened.
Fenix PD20+ (with clip) - Improved smooth square threads and knurling.

This is pretty easy to answer. It boils down to your personal choice. Some questions to ask:
Modes and UI:
EZ 123: Low & High, twist low, twist further high.
MiNi 123: Low, med, high and hidded SOS, strobe, 2 beacons.
Size:
EZ 123: Longer and thinner
MiNi 123: Shorter but fatter
Brightness, beam & regulation:
MiNi is brighter and more efficient overall (thanks to the awesome CREE XP-G!). EZ throws further.
EZ is fully regulated. MiNi is not but is brighter for (almost) the (whole) duration of the battery.
MiNi is insanely bright on RCR but is not recommended (keep runtime below 3-4 mins on high).
MiNi's beam is very clean. EZ has typical XR-E artifacts.
Potential issues:
EZ is a battery crusher.
MiNi might skip modes (I haven't found this to be an issue but some has).
They are both ultra thin walled and heat will be an issue so don't let it overheat.
That aside, if you like clickies, why not get a Quark 123? It's quite small too. Or a Fenix PD20?

I like the Mini's brightness, more output modes and shorter size...though not recommended on RCR, which is what i will be using...
I like EZ's cosmetic, throw and thinner size...but not as bright..
Truly torn guys...truly torn...
Btw, i couldnt find Quark's website/link on the 1st page on local dealer..anyone has them?
