Just more info, the LD10 runs on a single AA, you can run it all night with the lowest mode. Do bring extra AA batteries too, if you happen to be hiking at night, you need the high mode more. Change batteries immediately when they start drop down in brightness greatly. If you are using rechargeable AA batteries like Eneloops or Imedions then your LD10 will love you. If you are using alkalines, use Energizer, Panasonic or IKEA batteries
