anyone got a TK12 R2 or R5 ?? can measure the tail current draw for me? I will thank you very much if you do. My tk12 is dead i need to find a replacement driver.
I heard it is driven at 990mA but lightreviews.com says it puts out 240 OTF lumens for the R2 version. How is it possible R2 can have 240 OTF @ 1000mA |

QUOTE(polkiuj @ Jul 15 2010, 01:54 PM) I'm pretty sure that the unit is right here in the Peninsula. =D And most of us don't know him (probably all of us). =D Hmm, actually the 225 lumens on LR is the advertised lumens by fenix, the right side is the OTF lumens measured by his sphere. What's even funnier is that they used the Tk12 Q5 specs which has 225 lumens max, but based on the 18650 runtime graph, I am sure this is the R2 version. But still makes me wonder how it can reach 247 OTF lumens. And he's crazier than us. =D 1st foray into high powered flashlights is a SR90 AND TK40. Amazing! If you look carefully, LR says that it puts out 225 OTF lumens, not 240 OTF. It is not possible for a XR-E R2 that is focused by a normal reflector to produce 240L OTF. Are you going to change the LED or only the driver? If you're running an XP-G and you're confident of your thermal path, I think it can be driven to 1.2A. 1.3A - 1.5A if you wanna push it but you gotta be careful of the light. If you're gonna run XR-E then 1A is sufficient. You can go up to 1.3A if you wanna push and if you're able to find the driver. If you wanna keep the stock brightness, I would guess that the TK12 was driven to 1A. I just changed the driver to 4x7135 with a neutral R2. I also used the p60 reflector, but need to trim a bit to fit in there. I screwed up the stock reflector by washing it with soap |

Hey, wanna ask you guys do your parcels from hong kong or china arrived greatly delayed recently? Normally I get mine in about 5 - 6 working days. This 2 months seems like 3 out of 10 parcels will go missing and arrive after 2 - 3 weeks.

Hi guys, selling my dereelight C2H R5 modded with shiningbeam's perfect regulation driver (L-mini ii driver) for RM99 + RM9 shipping.
Runtime on High is 30 mins of perfectly flat regulation and when the battery is near depletion it automatically switches to low mode for another extra 20 mins runtime. 3 modes, low medium high, has memory. The driver itself cost $10 and I believe it is out of stock now. The light has a few minor scratches especially at the tailcap's edge. Everything else is perfectly fine. The light is completely dissemble-able so you can mod whatever emitter, driver, glass, reflector you want. Comes with all original accessories including the AA extender and box. Please email me if you want more and much bigger, clearer pics. ![]() This post has been edited by dhouseng: Nov 16 2010, 09:19 AM |

QUOTE(caver @ Dec 14 2010, 11:13 PM) it's yezl z1 modded with t6. centering the emitter is a pain in the ass. spent 4 hours soldering and glueing just to get the emitter centered, and it is still not centered now! This post has been edited by dhouseng: Dec 25 2010, 08:45 AM |

hello ladies and gentlemen, selling my modded Cree XM-L T6 edc, here are the specs:
【Size】 length: 115mm, outer diameter: 23.4mm 【Weight】 85 grams (without batteries) 【Color】 Hard anodized type III aluminum black 【Battery】 1 x 18650 battery, 2 x cr123 【Technical specs】Emitter = Cree XM-L T6 1C 【Output】5 modes, low -> medium -> high -> strobe -> sos with memory. Estimated high mode's OTF lumens is at least 600. Ceiling bounce lux value is almost the same with Olight M31 (56 vs 59) 【Waterproof】IPX8 【Other features】Tail standing, lanyard. Glow in dark bezel o-ring and tailcap. using 8x7135 driver, very high efficiency. 【Additional info】no box, never dropped, no dent. There are some very minor anodizing flaws (not scratch). but it is hard to see if you don't use a magnifying glass. Do not run it on high for more than 30 seconds. It gets hot, about 2.6A current draw. No warranty for overheating. The tint is 1C and it is whiter than most of my R5 emitters. Any question pls pm me. 【Reason to sell】Need $$ to upgrade pc. 【Price】RM 176 + FREE shipping <---- NEW PRICE 27th Dec 2010 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by dhouseng: Dec 27 2010, 12:50 PM |
