yeah... coz I'm running out of non-flashaholic friends to gift to...
this E05 is really useful with its floody beam and has proven to be very practical for keychain duty...

QUOTE(susuman @ Feb 26 2011, 10:34 AM) I am not 100% what is the P7 you mean, the SSC P7 LED mounted on "no star board"?? awhile back, lightjunk was kind enough to build me a sscP7 d sized Maglite. the led was mounted directly onto its p7 heatsink from britelumens. now however, i have a star sst50 led lying around and wish to swap it onto the maglite. is it possible to just mount the star sst50 onto the old heatsink? will the heat from the star sst50 transfer to the heatsink in the maglite for cooling? If you can remove the P7, then u can mount the Star-SST50 into it, if cannot, maybe this is what you mean, the star too big? If that is the case , you need to desolder the SST50 from the Star... I wonder how you desolder the P7 from the mag? It is easy if you know the way to desolder, but definitely not the usual way, because the LED was solder underneath the SST50, so you can't access using soldering iron. More info please, or you can catch me in the DIY section in http://thebrightsideforums.com |

Sure, the P7 is glued to the heatsink, you can remove the P7 and glue the SST50 into the heatsink, the heat will still transfer out, but you need thermal epoxy glue.Anyway if you have pictures of the P7 mount on Maglite and the SST50 is easier for me to suggest anything. |

QUOTE(jasonchchteik @ Mar 1 2011, 10:13 AM) Oh, so reflector? The it will have no issue at all, just focusing is needed. BTW , how is the P7 sit on the heat sink, glue also? If yes, then you will need Thermal Adhesive, to glue the SST50 Star PCB to the Alu Heatsink of the Maglit. Anyway, it is really fun doing these, isn't it? |

hi guys
a question from me i am thinking of buying a 18650 powered flashlight (fenix pd31) but the thing that is stopping me from doing so is i have read that it is hard to find 18650 rechargeable a reliable charger? If that is true, what do i need to beware of before i went to invest in this potential firecracker? Paranoid due i've seen to lot of cases that li-ion batt blew up |

Guys...at long last i have decided to get a 2 x CR123 flashlight...went through nearly all possible brands available (from gadgetworld's sales thread) and was kinda lost on which one to get....so if you guys could help...i am looking for a flashlight that utilizes 2 x RCR123 with the highest possible max/turbo output (lumen) that lasts at least 60 mins...and i noticed Fenix isnt that bright (at least in lumen output) when it comes to 2xrcr123....so would be great if you folks could list it out what's ur preference...~
And i noticed for 2xcr123, size for most are more or less the same so another 1 or 2 cm longer or shorter is okay...price wise not more than RM350...~ Thanks in advance..!!! Added on March 21, 2011, 10:41 amAmd i jst noticed...Gadgetworld2U no longer carries Nitecore...anywhere else i could find nitecore products? Thx!
