No it isn't confirmed. The lead dev tweeted it is not needed for offline play. Only for installation and online play.

I think you are confused.

If a game has Games for Windows, it just mean, it's a game for PC. Thats all, with certain Microsoft guidelines implemented, like the game must have widescreen support. It also mean, no GFWL.

On the other hand, if a game has Games for Windows LIVE, it's a completely different story, as the game will use GFWL online system. Time for whole lot of annoyance.Such as the pictures below:

Note that there is a LIVE word on the box.

GFWL games does have region lock, but it's quite easy to get around it.

Does Batman:AS even have multiplayer?
If that's the case then my supplier brought in the wrong copy for the region.

It runs on the Unreal Engine 3 so it has to be somewhat optimised for PCs like Unreal Tournament 3/Bioshock?
Disregarding PC optimisation, the game looks like a fresh change from the other grim dark gritty military shooters - I wish the gameplay would be of a faster pace since I like arena shooters.

Not sure which form of DRM Batman is using.

Im not talking about optimisation. I mean things like post shipping support.

GFWL is a pain to patch, and it also mean that it will not have dedicated servers. Have fun finding games with GFWL.

Im also quite bored with military shooters, but Bulletstorm does not seem to be worth buying for me, as the MP would probably be dead. Thats why im waiting for Brink instead and hope it is not screwed up.

GFWL wasnt that bad if u have friends to play with
is 4 player co-op in anarchy mode, why do need dedicated server anyway, my 1MB line can support 4 players very well

the campaign wont have any co-op though, 4 player co-op only available in Anarchy mode

on the other hand, i send mail to tsb regading retail copy

"Hello,

Bulletstorm requires online authentication / registration. We will
only sell it after it is confirmed it works in Malaysia."

I guess they pretty scare after case like Fallout:New Vegas.

In term of graphic memang PC will be better, i played the demo on console then compare with PC video trailer...

If any of you are looking to get Bulletstorm from GamersGate, make sure you buy it from GamersGate UK as the price is much cheaper.

BulletStorm US | -10% | $53.99
Bulletstorm UK | -14% | £29.95

I expect local to be cheaper, should be around RM139, judging the price released for console.

That's because Gears of War is published by Microsoft, which doesn't have anything on Steam at all.

Strange, I thought it is developed by Epic and PCF, and publish by EA ?

Buy Bulletstorm, Get Gears Of War (One) Free
Newsby Adam Biessener on February 17, 2011 at 06:05 PM 375 Views 6

But only on PC, and only on the least gamer-friendly storefront out there. Microsoft's Games for Windows Live Marketplace is running a deal from Bulletstorm's February 22 launch through March 8.

Is this going to be enough to get you to use GFWLM over other digital or physical retailers? While I like free stuff, Microsoft has a long way to go to make me not find GFWL or its M intrusive and abhorrent.

On the other hand, free stuff…

…if you somehow haven't played Gears of War yet.

Is it available for other regions eg. UK, Singapore and etc?

Malaysia isn't selectable in GFWL anyways.
