Okey here is my situation ..

I already have homeline + streamyx combo registered under my name..
Now wanna apply CoolUnipack..

Options which I have :

1. Do some ehem work by changing info in my Student ID which is already expired so that can get fast approval..But Im afraid TM Staff will ask my original Student ID and Offer Letter..

2. Apply new homeline together with CoolUnipack under my sister's name (my sister currently doing Degree in IPTA,1st Year)..The problem here is I have to apply new homeline and I don't know how much the contractor will charge for the new wiring..Im staying in apartment..

3. Terminate my current account and wait for the cooling period...

Could you guys tell me which is the best option..

If u can survive with NO internet then 3

If not then 2. Wiring around 30~50 only. Worth in exchange with a netbook.

Erm... if 1, need school chop. If ur id expired means u're not student anymore right? How're u going to get?

Prefer you go option 2, new homeline+ new streamyx. You don'nt need new wiring. Just ask the technician to change your current wire to new port.

No new wiring involve. Pay RM30 only. But your previous homeline and streamyx cannot use anymore when switch to new port and you can go terminate.

At least no need to wait for 30 days cooling period.

This is a good choice. Just cost RM30 only. But you will not be able to online until you've install your streamyx which should take from few days to weeks. It's best to keep on calling to rush them because they have to key in the streamyx form after you've install the homeline only which they will ussually forget to do.

Could you mind to explain about this procedure.. notworthy.gif
Currently my house have 1 homeline port which is being used now..
Let say if the technician come to my house to install new homeline, what i suppose should tell him..
Should I ask him to change my current homeline to the new port so that the new homeline will be installed to the current port..?
Is it possible to do that..?

Okay, it will be exactly same as my own case.

Normally if the techician serious put a new wiring with new wire it will surely cost you RM100++.

Now you just tell the technician to switch the current homeline port to the new port, it is very easy for them. They just
need to go to the exchange and switch it. You most probably get to use the new home line number immediately.

So ( You will have a empty home-line with no streamyx and new number). Later you just go and terminate both streamyx and OLD homeline.

Okey..
Let me list out again what I suppose should do...

1. Apply new homeline..
2. When the TM contractor come to install new homeline, I should ask him to change my current homeline to the new port..
3. New homeline will be installed to the current port..Which mean Im unable to use my old number and Streamyx..
4. After this step I should submit my CoolUniPack application and wait untill it is activated..
5. Next step is , I should go to the TM point to terminate my previous homeline and Streamyx..

Hope I have list out the procedures very well..Could you verify it for me bro.. notworthy.gif

Oo... 1 form for both new homeline and new streamyx. No need submit twice.

1. Submit the form for application of new homeline and cool unipack(single form)
2. Same as above
3. Same as above
4. Terminate old homeline+streamyx(note that u must not be under any contract/bond.

Okay, Mine is abit different previously apply thru agent, they process until Homeline then stop already. Then i re-apply for streamyx only on
the new Cool Uni Pack application.

But i believe the process is same. Why not submit Cool Uni Pack with Home line? Cool uni pack can include New Homeline as well.

Compare with you register homeline separate, you need to pay RM50 for connection fee. When apply together with cool uni pack it will be excluded.

I suggest you apply CoolUniPack together with homeline all together in one single cool uni pack form. Terminate at the same time so you dont have to
keep going TM point.

Added on May 13, 2010, 2:54 pmI think my previous post is messy. tongue.gif

1) Fill up UniPack form with section 1A (Homeline). * All in one single form.
2) Submit Termination form for current streamyx and homeline.
3) Get confirmation slip immediately at TMpoint.
4) Settle with homeline technician with the port thing.
5) Patient with no connection biggrin.gif
6) Check status for SAMS for streamyx application ( No quarantine )

With this you can settle all at once by one visit to TM point.

Speaking of confirmation slip, it makes me sad sad.gif. I guess it'll take much longer. But I personally don't really mind. Hopefully less than a month I'll get everything done.
