hard to say... S57 juz seems to be plagued by many little problems... which is irritating enuf...

Yup, maybe one of the reason why BenQ is halting their laptops releases ....S42 got no major problem though, well only the heat but still manageable for me ...

if S42 was a 15'' laptop..i think there will not be a heat issue at all also...

yeah..to me those pesky little problems are making me faint
and there not much reviews on the net on S57..so we wouldn't know...

but if it was a 15", then it loses it's attractiveness already...

there's tonnes of 15" with 9600M GT/9650M GT in the market back then...

Yup, agree with this...if the S42 should have been S52 then, there are a lot of other various choices to pick from ..well, that the beauty of 14" ..

well, probably some tweaking was needed, since BenQ probably juz use the same chasis as S41...

but that saves them time and money also... so it's probably a trade off...

jezz...talking about laptop is never as fast as talking about chicks eh...

hey guys.. been missing out a lot.. i swapped lappy with kabadi.. with his faulty battery unable to charge s57B..

is there any s57 user out there to clarify???

1. It seems like the BD rom very slow.. formatting takes very long time to load..

2. The harddisk.. it seems very.. after reformat.. on the desktop, the toolbar.. it shows the harddisk as like an external.. plugged in.. but the drive still works lah..

3. and da worst thing here.. i converted da whole HDD into dynamic disk.. and now i duno how to convert back to basic.. the windows wont boot up lah.. aik.. who knows how to convert back eh..

one thing amazing i find with s57.. with latest 10.3a driver.. i can play COD MW2 extra high settings.. full settings with 4x MSAA.. no lag.. except smoke lah.. all way thru fps around 30+ damn..

try reformat the whole thing using thumb drive instead...

hmm.. copy the cd files into a thumbdrive u suggest??

so does windows 7 boot in dynamic disk ah?? cos now it cant boot la.. and im reformatting.. but it still shows dynamic disk.. really messed up this lappy..

i think for clean reformat it's better using linux or XP to clean the memory 1st then just run win7. I fusing thumb driver, the whole system is not totally clean even reformat whole partition. Unless using disc...
something like GRP-3 or what ...

use another computer to throw everything into the thumb drive, then boot and format with that thumb drive...

u need to do sth to the thumb drive to make it a bootable device... a search in Google should help u with that...

format ur thumb drive using long format as more easy way ...
if dnt want type dispart
1. list disk
2. select disk (ur thumb driver)
3. clean
4. create partition prmary
5. select partition 1
6. active
7.format fs=NTFS
8. assign
9. exit

from cmd
put a bootable disc into ur dvd room

1. type D: CD BOOT (IF D is ur DVD room or BD ~)
2. type CD BOOT
3. type BOOTSECT.exe /NT60 H:
(H is ur target thumb drive)

Are you trying to re-format?? A clean format i assume ..after deleting the partition, still got dynamic disk?? Shouldn't be lor ...

blur~~ so da first thing now.. what should i do?? my harddisk is whole thing in dynamic.. so i dunno if can boot to windows anot.. its reformatting now..

how do i make windows boot?? and change back the HDD to basic..

i think im gonna swap back for my s42 lah.. s57 damn mafan.. and after hearing so many problem.. sked liao..

but i must say.. performance on COD mw 2.. i was really amazed.. my s42 got on all high with 2x msaa only
