btw yesterday played Dirt 2 again, turn everything to low and off AA, still getting ~30fps only..i might as well turn it on for eyecandy ^^
and i also accidentally played the game with overclock setting 500/1350/800
temperature was around 97C, and is slowly increasing to 98C, although very slow la..it's like every 30seconds i see temperature jump to 98C for a split second, then drop back 97C, and that is after at least 30 minutes gameplay..i guess this clock speed is usable

btw the OC setting was played before i drop all the setting to all low...iirc, my settings are:
2x MSAA
Mirrors: Mid
Night time Lighting: Mid
Skidmark: on
Distance Vehicle: Mid
Crowd: Low (don wanna off..empty stadium racing really no syok...)
Driver: Medium
Tree: Medium

the rest, low

and with those stress setting(especially the AA), and OC setting, i get 97C after 20-30 minute gameplay...although the left palmrest is very hot, but the temperature is definitely within acceptable range...as long as nothing is higher then 98C...

98C? mine already kena 98C with factory clock on native res + 2x MSAA stress test....furmark really cannot compare, it stress ur GPU the way games normally wouldnt, so don mind that one really...

btw the average framerate was 22-30fps, and occasional drop to >15fps..maybe cos i am downloading and the download manager is written data to disk? haha...

actually i got try before la... 550(or was it 575)/1450/900
within 3 minutes already 98C come out...hahaha

ubuntu site have their own forum where users post guides on setting up stuff, and some others post problems that they faced, and normally there will be ppl helping...remember they keyboard issue for s42? i seek help there last time too...u can search thread by me over there if u have the keyboard issue also..my username there is same as here

class 4 or class 6, class 4 means minimum 4MB transfer rate, while class 6 means 6MB/s minimum...correct me if i am wrong..
however, i think in normal occasion class 4 is enough, cos even my class 4 8GB microSD card also, transfer rate using card reader is ~20MB/s, unless is a whole bunch of tiny files

not sure about CF, but SDHC is is actually a standard, it was meant for 4GB and above...in any case, it's safer to get SDHC compared to SD, for higher compatibility

and the key point is...
4X MSAA !!

runs at average 30fps, and temperature was constantly on 96C to 97C

@double: using rivatuner can overclock, but for some reason, it will still use back stock clock when u run 3D app, the only app that i can use right now is the Nvtune

where is doubleU staying? can get such low temp one?

it's the one that is officially from nvidia themselves one...only working solution...

UK don say la...zzz 20C somemore, we air con also cannot reach that temp ler

lol me...was functioning before, then suddenly one day, cannot switch graphic liao..suddenly one, after restart, it died

lol i also dunno...after that, nothing work anymore..i got pissed, flash bios, now happy happy with v3.02

i did...the front part there for a few hooks one, need to pry them open with some force(not too much la..haha)

but my recommendation, do not think of messing with the heatsink...even slight angle would cause negative effect on your temperature

@double: need to detach the keyboard first, that one should be easy la...i also forgot how to open exactly liao, its been quite some time since i opened it..i just know it took me 20 minutes or so
