DAM!

My E71 can't be charged...
ROAR...
Anyone lives in KJ?
Anyone can suggest a good place to bring my E71 to check wat's d problem?
Will nokia care centre charge me if i just bring it go for checking? How much?
If nt... any good place to suggest?
My sis brought it to some lame phone shops to check and the staffs there not even check the phone thoroughly and simply conclude it's the battery problem and insisted my sis to BUY THE BATTERY... WTF?? (PHONE SHOP IN NILAI GIANT--> selling "ori" battery for $80.. really this price mar?)...
I need pro staff to help diagnose my E71 unchargeable problem...
Dam this's a new phone I got from Aus and send it to my sis to use...
It really pisses me off when I google the E71 charging problems and found many ppl hv similiar incident...
Anyone can help?
If it is really the battery/phone problem, may I know where can I get my E71 fixed? Straight away check and straight away fix service... any idea?
Who here is realiable in selling food battery and charger... how much?

charging with generic charger maybe is the cause lor.. as the voltage is different
*
Now this is a new one for me. I assumed that all chargers are created equal and since they all have the same socket, they must be good for use with all models. The previous owner of the phone is my dad and he lost the original charger so... I'm using a charger we have lying somewhere around the house by the time he handed the phone down to me. Specs of the generic charger:

Input: AC 240V, 50-60Hz, 100mA
Output DC 5-11V, 500mA (overvoltage and undercurrent, damn)

I'll have a look at buying the original charger as well then.

QUOTE(Clareen @ Apr 29 2010, 02:20 PM)
if original set the accessories like battery, charger those all come with half year warranty. Maybe you can try bring to Nokia care centre to claim warranty.
*
It's way past the half-year mark, I'm sure that the phone is coming to its two year anniversary. Will consider returning to the original shop/Nokia Care and see what they can do about it.

i'm using win 7,

firmware 400.21.013,

both nsl_host_process.exe & nsu_ui_client.exe are working,

maybe i should go to service center for new firmware update,

hmm guys, may I know what's the max uptime of your phone if there's frequent smsing activities?

recently my battery is swollen, I've bought a new 1, but there's still some issues with the total time that it can serve me.. with the new battery, i can only last 1 day, not even more than that... i'm quite sure that e71 can last longer than that, cos last time when i first bought it, it can last me for 2 days+ atleast...

any idea fellow sifus?

Make sure your phone is switched off.
#
Step 1

Press the keys "3", "*" and the green/talk button simultaneously. This action forces a hardware reset and also reformats the device.
#
Step 2

Without releasing the 3 keys mentioned above, press the "on" button.
#
Step 3

When you feel the phone vibrate, release only the "on" button but not the keys in step 3.
#
Step 4

When you see the Nokia boot up screen (handshake screen) then you can let go of all the keys.
