My contractor just install my grille and i am not happy with their workmanship at all.
1. The grill is not smooth and can feel the joints.
2. There is gap between the grill to the wall, I thought it should be L shaped screwed to the wall without any gap.

1. you have the rights to complaint, don't tell me you paid all already.
2. sometimes is the wall it self got problem, don't expect the workmanship are like 20-30 years ago.

1. already complaint, nope have not pay fully. But i am not sure they willing to redo and whether I should force them to redo a new one.
2. example at one side of the window, i can insert 1 finger in the gap between the metal grille and the concrete wall. It's as though the measurement is not correct.

Can you post the photos and let us have a look. Sometime what client was expecting is diifferent from what can a contractor do. Sometime an uneven wall can cause the problems as well.

Referring to the gap between the grille to the wall, did you tell your contractor about your concern before confirming the job? Using an angle bar frame will incurred additional cost as compare to a square hollow frame.

Most contractor is quoting their client using square hollow as the grille's frame, because the price is cheaper, which most client are looking for. Or may be the contractor should have mentioned the concern before confirming the job.

1. Don't pay them until problem solved.
2. Did you take measurement on the grille? Not good to accuse them never do a proper job before checking.

I think your price is reasonable, as such design involve more works and for powder coated in dark metalic colour cost more also.

what is the best? repaint or respray. If respray, do they need to take back to factory or do they remove the paint at site and respray at site?
