oh ya, i tried steelseries 5hv2 which is equivalent to tactx headset.. erm.. can i say smth bad bout it? it really just for gaming. don ever think of using it for other purposes . thats all about it. the sound is too sharp, too many treble. bass is too soft that u can hardly hear any boom factor for a 200+ ringgit headset.. >.<

kave nope.. i tried megalodon. hmmm... the sound produced is not bad. about 7/10. same quality with carcharias when switched to 2.1. tested at pc fair.. hehe..

the best is steelseries siberia v2. that one is really superb. i give 9/10. good bass, good treble and super light on ur head.. so far thats the best gaming headset i ever tried. however , i nvr tried kave

the downside of the kave is it is freaking heavy. it will give you neck-ache after 30 min of using. damn.

lolz... the v2 is rm429 white color and without usb sound card.
rm499 for black with usb soudn card. correct me if im wrong. the sound is just too nice. very comfy on ur ears. the leather coating is just nice and soft and GENTLE!
very lightweight. seriously light. the only draw back i would say is its too big and poor for portability. but who cares, most of the ppl use it at home..
haha.. so u better don wear it at road cuz it will look funny .. haha..

well, i will still go for v2 if given the choice.

sennheiser hd428 the one im using now is very uncomfortable. its too tight and i dunno how to say la.. sound is nice, comfy is bad.

i've read so much through this thread regarding the dissatisfaction of users with AW.

personally i'm a little tangled with this situation as well.

as my old HP laptop died on me, i made the decision to go with one of the best gaming laptops available, an alienware.

prior to purchasing mine, i did quite some research and even called up the sales helpline.

initially i was promised 2 weeks from order to delivery, and i was quite okay with that wait, so i purchased a unit of m15x online.

then the order status didn't show my estimated delivery time, so i called up the helpline and was told it'll be delivered by 22nd or earlier.

fair enough i waited, and when the estimated delivery time showed up, it turned out to be the 26th!

now i've gotta wait a full month after clearing payment for my laptop to be delivered?

i'm a little skeptical about receiving my AW by 22nd now, or even the 26th, as it has been stuck at cleared customs for quite some time now (the same thing with the order received status).

is dell really making empty promises and not providing its top-notch customer satisfaction and service as promised, & is the after sales support really that bad?

also, am now a little disappointed after reading about the build quality of AW laptops since i chanced upon this thread.

please enlighten me fellow AW boys!

Cant really comment about the late shipment. I heard they have shortage of parts recently. I bought my M11X at a retail store.

Their after sales service is very good. I've experienced it 2 times now, 1 for LCD which has some particles of dust (they CAME and REPLACE the whole LCD), and another with a faulty HD (they came and replace it, install windows and everything and give me a week to backup stuffs. After a week, THEY will come and collect the old HD).

ok, good thing. dell called me at 8.30am this morning and scheduled to pick up my laptop at 1-2pm.
they need all my CDs just in case soemthign happens @.@ or wil they take away my s/n for windows ? xD just joking anywayz.

really really hope they will replace my lid as promised. cheers !

Added on April 20, 2010, 10:42 ambtw, for those who have reformatted ur alienware, where u gonna get the macafee antivrus back? isit in the cd? or did DELL tech help u install back ur mcaffee?

the same thing is happening to me, I called them a number of times and they said they'll e-mail me a follow up (for 3 times!) and even the courier service will call me once it's out of production. but right now it's stuck at "cleared custom" since last week and apparently all operators are busy during the time I called them up again.. and no courier service called me at all... haha.. at the moment I'm not available at my delivery address which means when it arrives later, there's no one to pick it up and It'll take a longer time to arrive at my doorstep.. all I had to do is just wait, nothing else to do and hope it'll eventually get delivered. Just be patience la, it'll come to you soon

one thing good about pc fair is u get the alien immediately.no need wait..this is what make me buy on the spot..

Once you receive ur Alienware all your worry will be forgotten ..hihihihi
Mine, i never even receive an update mail from Dell..just stuck at Receiving Order stat
The next thing I know the delivered mine for about 2 week plus or 3 weeks
So be patient ....

While waiting for ur Alienware get urself a girlfriend if u don have one
if u have one get another one

dell tech wont help u install back cause they dont keep software, so they require the CD/DVD from u.......
just download back and key in ur serial key, dont know seral key? call dell
Remember, u have paid dell for services, anything, call call call and call.....hehheehe, this how i teach my customer

does the order time is differentiate by the payment options? i mean different payment option different time for the item to arrive?

ya, cash of course will be better, my customer recieve all thier alienware in 10 days time.....
