And I notice in the invoice there's "software for TV Tuner" ? .. and I looked around it said that we can hook up the coaxial antenna to the machine, yet I'm still curious how to do so. LOL. |

QUOTE(julchin_09 @ Apr 2 2010, 09:56 PM) After my first notebook , I've been going for 3years Premium plan for backup and ease of mind. Its an expensive addition to the price but having used few notebooks, I think its worth the investment. Plus, the problems with my last DELL came up only after year 1. And since then I have had no problems changing stuff, even those which I didn't really wanted to change but did it as a recommendation from the DELL Engineers and Technicians.... The reason why I didn't bought the 3 year warranty is because I don't have enough budget at that time. But is there a way to upgrade my warranty after I get the products? If it's possible, I might do so in the future when I have money to spare Anyway, I'm still waiting for the machine to arrive.. it is such a pain |

QUOTE(zad78 @ Apr 5 2010, 10:22 AM) Just got an update for my extension of Complete Cover from 1 year to 3 years...my advice is.....PLEASE CHOOSE 3 YRS CC from the day you order your lappy online or you'll get the quotation like below: waaa.. Thanks for the request. With regards to the information that you're after, here are the details for your reference: Warranty Extension Price for 3 Year Complete cover – RM 1950 Its nearly the price for one whole lappy!!! now I wish I had chosen the three-year warranty... Anyway, I checked my order status today and it's still at "order received" .. is this something I should be worried about? (I placed my order last tuesday) ... The reason why I'm so paranoid at the moment is because I keep thinking that it'll arrive on the day that I'm out of town... sigh. |

Finally, there's some movement on the online order status, and I'm pretty sure if I check via phone, they'll tell me it's "still in production" ... sigh. I guess I won't be using this laptop anytime soon T_T..

QUOTE(stanleyseah999 @ Apr 20 2010, 05:36 AM) hi there guys. the same thing is happening to me, I called them a number of times and they said they'll e-mail me a follow up (for 3 times!) and even the courier service will call me once it's out of production. but right now it's stuck at "cleared custom" since last week and apparently all operators are busy during the time I called them up again.. and no courier service called me at all... haha.. at the moment I'm not available at my delivery address which means when it arrives later, there's no one to pick it up and It'll take a longer time to arrive at my doorstep.. all I had to do is just wait, nothing else to do and hope it'll eventually get delivered. Just be patience la, it'll come to you soon i've read so much through this thread regarding the dissatisfaction of users with AW. personally i'm a little tangled with this situation as well. as my old HP laptop died on me, i made the decision to go with one of the best gaming laptops available, an alienware. prior to purchasing mine, i did quite some research and even called up the sales helpline. initially i was promised 2 weeks from order to delivery, and i was quite okay with that wait, so i purchased a unit of m15x online. then the order status didn't show my estimated delivery time, so i called up the helpline and was told it'll be delivered by 22nd or earlier. fair enough i waited, and when the estimated delivery time showed up, it turned out to be the 26th! now i've gotta wait a full month after clearing payment for my laptop to be delivered? i'm a little skeptical about receiving my AW by 22nd now, or even the 26th, as it has been stuck at cleared customs for quite some time now (the same thing with the order received status). is dell really making empty promises and not providing its top-notch customer satisfaction and service as promised, & is the after sales support really that bad? also, am now a little disappointed after reading about the build quality of AW laptops since i chanced upon this thread. please enlighten me fellow AW boys! |

QUOTE(stanleyseah999 @ Apr 20 2010, 12:31 PM) haha guess what guys? i think they do read lyn. either today, tomorrow or within this week. just chill :3 .. I still have a few more days before I can actually unbox it i called, and apparently its scheduled to be delivered to me today at 4pm. then i received a sms from the logistics company saying it'll be delivered tomoro. now who should i believe? dell should really take a look into their operations man. oh and i called the SA asking if there were freebies or discounts, cos another of my friend got it but i didn't. they shrugged it off as promotion period, and it seems what you see is what you get if you buy online. pretty disappointed. =( |

The first time I called them, they said my machine will be out of production on 12th and it might arrive a few days early (they gave me delivery date 21st April, but online says 26th April, misleading info)
I remember the there's one time I talked to one of their assistants, I told them "I won't be available at home during the delivery date" and they straight away said "would you like to proceed to order cancellation sir?" .... I'm like what? NO! and I called again whether to ask if there's any part shortage, they said no there isn't any for M15x at the moment. And it should arrive on the third week... I called -again- to tell them to send the machine to me on 26th and they said "yes absolutely can! we'll inform the courier and e-mail the follow-ups to you" and this goes on about 3 times and I never received any e-mail.. today it arrived, I'm not home, and it's the fourth week, and I had to call my neighbour/collegemate to pick it up for me... just a few experiences I had with dell customer service, might be helpful for people who are thinking of buying from dell.. maybe it's better to buy from puto =D |
