My m11x suddently cannot start today. It flashed blue screen while trying to boot windows.

Attempted to repair using the recovery cd, but the screen seems to stuck at "Setup is starting...". How long was that supposed to be there anyway? I never tried recovery on 7 before, so is it common for it to be this long (15 minutes now)?

Did you do any installation or setup yesterday?

No. Nothing at all. Just replace the LCD.

Just called Dell support. They'll send someone on Monday. They say it might be HD problem.

oh ya i got a question, how to clean the dust inside the keyboards? sometimes got hair fall inside.. i tried using cyber clean, but its phailed for m11x as the keys are so packed together.. any other ideas to get out the dust? tried brush, but also phailed

Added on April 16, 2010, 1:25 amoh.. whats the best vacuum for laptop? any suggestion? price below rm50... i wan get tmr pc fair.. any? i don wan usb.. cuz weak.. neecd storng ones biggrin.gif
black and decker good ar? where u buy. can show some pic.. hehe

For keyboads I normally use the handheld vacuum I have. THere are 2 settings one of which is turbo mode which has very very strong air suction that it suck out the key too. But it happend on my other lappie. With my Alienware Im very carefull tongue.gif. By the way, its a bit pricey at RM250, But I use it for my room as well as my car at times so its a worthwhile investment for me....

If you buy it from them, chances are you won't have the option for customisation if the sale is on the spot cash and carry... sweat.gif

Im not sure about the m11x but the m15x and m17x ventilation is from the keyboard , hence we should not put any protector on it... But you can look for amorone in Garage sale , he can customize for u d @@
Im also having sweaty hands , use cyber clean to wipe it often , thats what id do for my laptop ~

My current work station , looks a mess ~.~ no place for my external keyboard =_="

lol thats mean they only held one happening exhibition to acknowledge Malaysian about the arrival of Alienware in Malaysia. thats all.

after that exhibition, no more special discount and you only can buy this machine through Dell website (officially, Garage Sale is not count)

lucky you faizal because listen to others advice that waiting for PC Fair not granted you with anything smile.gif

yes, sadly there is no alien booth. i went there today.

got 3 units of alienware m11x in 2 DELL Booths. 2 out of 3 have unbalance base problem. one is very obvious, the other one is not so obvious, but still can see that its unbalance when u try to push one side down.

disappointed with alienware QC. asked the seller, he said it could be the chassis problem. i tried on other Dell laptop, no such problem. only the 2 m11x got. oh well... mayb it was because the table not balance, but not. the other laptops on the same table were stable..

Added on April 16, 2010, 9:11 pmand no roccat mouse.

got sennheiser, audio techniqa booth, steelseries and razer. biggrin.gif

steelseries got promotion for their kinzu mouse.

and razer abyssus mouse sellin like hot cake @ price of rm129.

@Mr.Docter

You can get the B&Decker one from ACE Hardware outlets. As for Dyson, I haven't seen them being sold here. They're damn cool and the suction motor is the most powerfull I've seen. You can check their webbie, and see all their cool stuff there.... The Dyson handheld I posted is just one of the few handheld models they have. And this purple one is a collaboration with Issey Miyake if I remember correctly so Im assuming its not that cheap.... tongue.gif

I was at PC-Fair today as well. Just took a brochure from DELL Booth and ALIENWARE was on the back page featuring all 3 models of notebook. Went over the Republic of Gamers and they only had the one model G51 series 3D Gaming notebook which was overall plastic but really really highly priced at a minimum of RM7999 to RM9999(3D Gaming capable model) .... This time around PC Fair a bit dry..... :/

i see.. not interested in getting the purple one because i can expect the price will rip off my pocket later sweat.gif

so do you own Black&Decker Dustbuster Pivot vacuum? i tried to google the Malaysian branch of ACE but 404. do you have link or somthing? looking forward to know its price smile.gif

lol @ RM 7,999 you can get M17x with damn nice specs already. and RM 9,999 is not cheap compared to specs provided. better save that money for newer GPU.

tried 3D Gaming with desktop i7-920 + GTX295 for both L4D2 and RE5 few days ago. i rate 6/10 only. lack of 'wow' or 'epic!' factor + giving me headache after 30 min gaming. so i assuming 3D gaming is sorta difficult to be mainstream.
