QUOTE(julchin_09 @ Apr 3 2010, 01:48 PM) You can extend the warranty by calling them. The difference is that the price you'll have to pay for the extension will be more expensive as compared to you extending it when u were ordering the lappy..... How expensive will it be? Hopefully it will not be more than RM600 though...FYI I'm still waiting for the quotation of the 3 yrs CC from my SA.Why not wait for PC Fair to come then. they might give extra stuff or free gifts or even free upgrades..... |

For those who are playing modern warfare 2. Do not update to the latest nvidia driver. It will lower your fps BIG TIME. i already revert back to the previous driver.

MW2 for its excellent single player and bad company2 for its outstanding multiplayer. Dedicated server FTW. Sorry OTI think this only apply to m15x IMO. Just got an update for my extension of Complete Cover from 1 year to 3 years...my advice is.....PLEASE CHOOSE 3 YRS CC from the day you order your lappy online or you'll get the quotation like below:Thanks for the request. With regards to the information that you're after, here are the details for your reference: Warranty Extension Price for 3 Year Complete cover – RM 1950 Its nearly the price for one whole lappy!!! |

QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Apr 9 2010, 01:21 AM) you cannot upgrade your CPU, MOBO and GPU. not by yourself or even by Dell Technician thanks for clearing this up coz i was going to upgrade my processor to I7 920.....well yes someone claimed changing those hardwares will not void the warranty, but generally and officially - it will void your warranty. i am tired emphasizing this point, really. i ask FindingScreemo to post this on the front page of V2 but no action. maybe he is forgotten anyway, i would like to see how someone that upgrading his own expensive laptop like this react once knowing his warranty is voided after done upgrading TS, maybe you could post some FAQ in V3 front page for some question like this. |

QUOTE(Azurika @ Apr 9 2010, 11:18 AM) realy ? weird , id get different awnsers on my end . They say warranty wont be void , but warranty just wont cover the new hardware thats all, but thats when i ask for ram , hardisk , gpu and cpu , didnt ask about mobo . but they will know the 'original' items in your lappy based on your service tag...you can go to dell's website and put your service tag and there you u will see the original configuration and current configuration of your lappy....if they see that your lappy has been unofficially upgraded apart from the RAM and hard disk...the warranty will be void....unless you change back to original cpu or gpu when u send it back for warranty....and lets face facts , they wont know we disected our laptops , there aint any stickers around that would be torn ~ Added on April 9, 2010, 11:19 am get use to it , technology advance very fast.. my two cents.... |
