Guys, just asking for your thought.

Is it worth it to upgrade to D90 from my D3000 for now? Coz now the price is about RM3.4k for a D90 if i'm correct. If I buy a D90 then I don't think I will upgrade anytime soon.

Feel like selling my D3000 with kitlens + 55-200mm and buy D90 with kitlens + 50mm f1.8. How much will I probably have to topup?

What do you guys think?

if u asking me, yes it is worth. D90 got alot more feature to say and trust me, it more friendlier then D3k. IMO, D90 is in its class alrdy.

D3k VS 1000D @ 450D
D5k VS 550D
D300s VS 50D
D90 VS ??? (in between 550D and 50D)

D3000 with kit can sell about RM1.3- RM1.5
55-200mm can sell about RM650-750
Total RM2000+ u sold


D90 with kit RM3300
50mm f1.8 used RM300-350

Total RM3800 around tat.

hey guys, any1 noe wat setting will set the tall photos taken will auto rotate? i dunno wat happen, all my tall photos are view in landscape...

i don't fell like wanna sell off my d3000.. once i have enough budget i will buy d90 body only.

it's in your menu options, there's one auto rotate tall.

D90 is worth the upgrade over from D3000 IMO, ISO is one main factor here .

I jumped to Canon too!

tried that, it will rotate on the camera but when open in computer eg.capture nx2,picasa,windows preview,etc it wont auto rotate.

iinm, those camera menu settings applicable for image playback in camera only...

Correct, the settings in the camera only affects preview. Shooting in vertical should be automatically detected by the camera.

i think he shoot portrait in the other portrait style
the proper way to do portrait in where the shooting button in 12'o clock

as the others have said, that option is only for the camera, it will not auto rotate for you in the computer. you'll have to do it yourself
