Well, that's my point of view. CMOS versus CCD, built in motor versus no built in motor. You can use 50mm f/1.8 on 1000D, but not on the D3000 without ability to AF.

Just that, when canon releases their very first DSLR, they make all lenses with internal AF motor. And old lenses without motor are not supported by the current DSLR..Canon is unlike nikon, nikon u can still use a old 28-80mm lens or 80-200mm lens or Ai-S lenses on your DSLR =D |
