Gotta remember, for the basic model, (D3000 and 1000D) Canon seems better with CMOS sensor and also built in motor. D3000 is using CCD sensor and does not come with AF built in motor.

oo ...so in other ways mean 1000d of canon better at same price range compared to d3000 nikon?

Well, that's my point of view. CMOS versus CCD, built in motor versus no built in motor. You can use 50mm f/1.8 on 1000D, but not on the D3000 without ability to AF.

agree with u bro .

1000D + canon 50mm f1.8 is just naise , the lens is cheap too smile.gif

1000d noise control should be better than d3000 right? since it is using CMOS sensor.

Just don't quite get why Nikon didn't have built in AF for most of the entry models sad.gif.

Probably one of the reason why D70/D80/D90 is successful icon_idea.gif . I don't know, probably their marketing strategy perhaps?

no no... w/o checking the price i thought it would be cheap, since it's juz a trigger, shudnt be more expensive than the flash. juz like how remote control is not more expensive than TV tongue.gif then i check the price, memang terkejut haha

no wonder expensive~~~ how does su800 compare to pocketwizard? dunno much about it, juz read in magazine tongue.gif

it's because he's comparing d3000 to d40. supposedly d40 is better due to bigger pixels n faster flash sync. but then ken rockwell's words are very subjective...1st he say leica sux etc, next thing u know he went out shooting with leica

For your information, canon entry levels also DON'T have built in AF motor. Just that, when canon releases their very first DSLR, they make all lenses with internal AF motor. And old lenses without motor are not supported by the current DSLR.

Canon is unlike nikon, nikon u can still use a old 28-80mm lens or 80-200mm lens or Ai-S lenses on your DSLR =D
