D3000 is for beginner, budget below 2k.
if you can afford to buy D90 then buy it.. budget D90 = above 3k/ without lens = 2.4k to 2.3k

yea ...initially i aim d90, but my friend tell me to start from bottom , ask me to choose 450d or 1000d (canon ) and the nikon d3000 and d5000 , but seems like nikon are more exp than the canon 1 ...so i still wonder which is better option for newbies

if ur budget is RM1.5k, u can opt for used D3000 kit. but i wud suggest getting a brand new D3000 @ RM1750...
currently D5000 kit price ranging swmr around RM2450 ~ RM2500..

Gotta remember, for the basic model, (D3000 and 1000D) Canon seems better with CMOS sensor and also built in motor. D3000 is using CCD sensor and does not come with AF built in motor.
