everyone says 800 is the stable one... some have tried 900 and remains stable... so its more like luck but 800 is the majority...
mod.. aspire can put the link in first page....this review is quite good and i share the same as his... http://blog.leod.org.uk/2010/04/02/the-n90...its-a-computer/ good place for ppl to understand the phone more and stop comparing with iPhone. |

Some flv files can't be played, probably depending how it is encoded. There's no update to the extra-decoder support for a long time. Would be great if they can update it to add more codecs support. Hi aspire2oo6,
Could we get a list of repository links (not the default ones) on the front page of this thread? I know Google is our best friend, but would make things easier if we could just refer to one page for the listings, plus there might be others not listed on Google that may still be handy to have. For starters, here's one that I've found: Name: My-Maemo.com Web address: http://my-maemo.com/repository/ Distribution: fremantle Components: user This post has been edited by Nickimaru: Apr 7 2010, 11:13 AM |

QUOTE(firstknight @ Apr 7 2010, 10:33 AM) u mean the overclocking app? from what i understand, there's no app yet to do so. u can download a new overclockable kernel in which u can adjust the speed to ur liking by editing some files though. either that or just flash the overclock kernel QUOTE(Ninja @ Apr 7 2010, 10:48 AM) Short video that I took early this morning. nice |

QUOTE(firstknight @ Apr 7 2010, 10:33 AM) kernel-flasher-maemo. After installing, you can directly flash the kernel (adjust the clock speed and limit) from your device.NOTE: Speeds above 900Mhz is very risky, please do not try it unless you're willing to be the guinea pig for testing. See below spoiler for more info from the author: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Added on April 7, 2010, 11:51 am QUOTE(zubai @ Apr 7 2010, 11:43 AM) 800MHz actually. There's definitely improvement while browsing the web. Rite now I'm browsing with a fan in front of me. Haha.. From MaemoTalk forum, the members are worried about the heat generated by the CPU after overclock. From other websites, they also did overclock on the same ARM Cortex A8 processor, those experts were saying the is unlikely heat issue. The heat is actually caused by the "battery". I'm not sure, maybe someone can confirm after the phone gets hot, turn off the phone and remove the battery and check if it's the phone hot or the battery that's hot. Even the DC-11 gets hot when charging the N900. This post has been edited by Andy214: Apr 7 2010, 11:51 AM |
